As if the new DS Lite wasn't hot enough, now purchasing a black European model on Ebay may land you with a really "hot" model.

The Black DS Lite will only be available in Europe starting June 23rd

Apparently a shipping container with $2.32 million USD worth of Black Nintendo DS Lites went missing in Hong Kong, in route from China to Europe.

Local authorities suspect that the black DS Lites that recently went on sale in Hong Kong were part of the missing shipment. They are currently offering a reward of $1 million in local currency ($128,831 USD) for information leading to an arrest.

i find the exchange rate to be the most interesting thing here...
Id rather a black DS lite, than a white one...maybe in three/six months Nintendo will have the other colors in USA?!?
Me also. That's why I haven't opened my white DS lite yet. I'm hoping to find someone with a black one in UK and make a trade!
I'd prefer the white DS. If I had a black DS Lite, it would get smudgy(sp?).
>_>
<_<
has the black DS getting smudgy been proven? I mean, wouldnt the white DS show dirt just as well?
Smudges and dirt are two different things though.
the white ds would get smuged not the black one u idiot
Why do they call the PSP the fingerprint police then? It doesn't look very white to me. Oh and prey tell, what colour is a smudge? They're not very transparent and they're certainly not black. Take a moment to reflect on that one.
greenfrogthing77......where did u find that wii controller
oh yeah they had something about black dses on ign.com..........go check it out lol
I'm hoping that they will release more colors in the USA by Christmas (a killer time to get a ds lite. At least, that's what I'm telling the Mrs.). I like the white, but I think over time my fingers would leave marks, kinda like a how your hands tend to stain a new book right down the center of all the pages (when its closed).

Black seems cool, but again, I'm unsure of just how easy it will be to keep it clean.

Oh decisions, decisions!
