If you take a look on Amazon you will see some shocking news. The SNES or Super Nintendo Entertainment System of yesteryear is outselling the PlayStation 3. I grew up playing games on the SNES and I still have a soft spot for it in my heart. It had some of the best games I've ever played and I really miss a lot of them. The VC on the Wii is slowly bringing back some of these loved games but maybe some people can't wait or they want the real deal and are going out and buying the SNES system all over again. Amidst the usual video game champions on Amazon's Best Sellers List: Video Games, you might find something out of the ordinary. If you head south to around number 17, you'll see what I mean.
It appears that everyone's old video game flame known as the SNES is outselling Sony's Playstation 3 on Amazon.com. Wonder why? Here's my take:
* People aren't that interested in PS3s.
* Virtual Console games are giving people major cases of nostalgia.
* People are so frantic for the Wii that they'll get their hands on the closest thing.
* Someone is throwing a Mario Kart tourney and ordered a metric ton of units.
* Hell has frozen over.
In all seriousness though, this probably has more to do with the fact that there are ten times as many used, yellow-tinted SNES consoles floating around, but still an interesting sight nevertheless. – Alexander Yoon

Me and my friend went to Future Shop, he was gonna buy a game for is Xbox (Original.) and we came accross a PS3 on display that someone was playing, and so:
Friend (Josh): Thats the PS3?
Me: Yuppers, cool eh?
Josh: Yea, but...its HUGE! I swear, if I put that thing on my shelf, it would snap the shelf in half! Its so freakin' thick!
Me:Yea..
So the guy gets off and we start playing some raceing game. (Ridge Racer anyone?)
Josh: Holy **** the controler is way more heavy than the PS2's I swear everything about this console is big!
Me: Yea, even its cost!
So anyways, yup, people still think 16 bits games are better than the PS3 XD. (Also when he saw my Wii, he said it was small, so w/e.)

lol I noticed that too. 
I was at Future Shop yesterday when I picked up my Wii S-Video cables and they had at least 7 or 8 PS3s in stock. I took a picture with my cell phone but don't think I'll be able to get it on here. Either way I'm glad that I was finally be able to see for myself that there are actually PS3s that aren't selling out.
Lol there are so many PS3's that aren't selling. It's funny.
I'm not surprised. Here in Kentucky the Price point on the Wii alone has forced all retailers to clamer for stock. Wiis are no where to be found where as PS3 are everywhere gathering dust. Gaming is a luxury no a right and when you have a game system that equals a car payment or a rent payment it becomes difficult to choose the PS3 when The Wii still provides entertainment and doesn't break the bank as much.
I also like the 2 game system argument. The Wii is by far the #2 system for all hardcore gamers. Both Xbox360 owners and P3 owners are looking to add the Wii to their gaming rigs where the opposite can't be said.
