After re-reading the initial post, I dont think the nintendo rep was even referring to WiiSports 2. I think he meant that he wouldn't deny the fact that IGN would be willing to take that risk.

Wii Sports 2 would actually be amazing; but only if they are going ot make alot of changes.

There is no point making it similar to the first Wii Sports or it would just be a waste of money to buy.

Hmmmm, it could be but I can't see that happening. I don't think that the quality of Wii Sports 2 would be anyway near as low as Wii Play. At least Wii Sports is fun to play. And, like I said before, I reckon it would be a huge improvement to make Wii Sports 2 online.

Then again, they could always make it come with a free remote, it would sell more if Nintendo did that. But if the wanting of Wii Sports 2 is high they probably won't bother as there would be no need.

japan is gonna go crazy, considering wiisports is selling like MAD on crack over there.

Wii Sports, Wii Play, & Wii Fit are all in the Japanese top 10 sales. All have more sales than Galaxy, which hasn't even broken a million there yet. So the incentive is there for #2.

This is so old that I thought it was new. I had even posted in this before. Almost a year old now and I thought that it had already been shot down that Wii Sports 2 was not in production and Wii Sports was not even considered for a sequel. Of course, I'd love to have it but I doubt we'll get it... T_T

why doubt? wii sports sold and STILL is selling like mad on crack over in japan. companies want money, and if people loved the first one, its only logical to make a second one

Haha, I definitely agree! If Japan are STILL goin crazy for the first Wii Sports then it's obvious that Wii Sports 2 is gonna be a big hit.

Yes, that is very true. Most households that have Wii's tend to have at least 2 remotes, so to some people getting a free remote would just be a waste. Plus, getting a free remote would actually add to the cost of the game. So I agree, I would prefer the game to be sold on it's own.
