Hey, ive just made my first real siggy (no i dont have the money for photoshop, so i made this on Gimp). Would like to know what you think.
Hello fellow Gimp user. I just downloaded the Gimp program last week and used it for an hour or so to make my sig. I know my sig sucks and is not that complicated but I just made it for fun and am not trying to wi any contest. I think your sig looks good as well. Similiar to mine that it doesn't follow too closely to the normal sig since it's dimensions are bigger. Still, I think with the available resources that it looks good.
That's cool! When I get a chance I am going to try and make a sig myself... for somereason... I don't have much confidence. Toungue
So you used a program called Gimp...cool.

I like it. It looks really cool.
there we go, i fixed the text on Stryker. Thanks for all your comments. Ya its a free graphic design software, you can simply google it, if you can't afford photoshop like me.
its good, i like the fire alot, and the text

a little adive though, always save your pictures as .png instead of.jpg, so it will be more clear. but if it is a huge picture, then save as .jpg to reduce the file size
cool, thanks for the tip will keep it in mind on my future creations.
Yeah, that was a good tip. Even I didn't know that but should have ... I also use Gimp and for what it costs it can't be beat. Free stuff rules!
Here is my second attempt at making a signature. I used your advice so it is in .png format, and i think it looks pretty neat. not sure how to blend so the guy kinda looks out of place.
Is that just screenshot with a border and text on it?
I prefer saving as a JPEG with the quality on 95% (or 11 in photoshop language)
no. I cut out the guy bottom right, found a background, and added text/border. So no its not just a ss.
I use gimp for simple resizes and such as I have no idea how to do anything more advanced than that. I will agree with D4rk though, save JPEG at 90-95% to reduce that file size. You're almost at 200kb right now!
Ok, all fixed up. Now its smaller file size.
