About this music channel, when does it come out and what are its features?

I don't know. I have heard about it to. There is also a Nintendo Power channel that may come out that will have all the nintendo power magazines, and you could probably get the new issues for Wii Points or maybe for free.

What would ya think of a music channel being itunes...?

I'm a mac user, but i still think itunes trumps most other players for ease and accessibility. And it would look so nice on the wii.

Just plug an ipod into the USB or load your SD card...

Depends, I mean Nintendo does feel like the Apple of the gaming world.

Although what's the real use of a music player on the wii?
I'd rather listen to music through my stereo or my computer than my TV.
The only use would be to organize and store music on the Wii for use in games. Or if you could buy music on the wii, such as with an itunes music store for example, then you can listen to music or watch TV shows on your wii specifically. I would use it for the TV shows, perhaps.

As for interfaces and easy use
you'd almost say Apple was teamed up with nintendo to trump Microsoft

Well with them having a scheduled Wii Music release that'll either be an actual game or a new channel... I guess we'll just have to wait this one out.

Many people have asked for it and before we get on the I use the Wii for games only you have to be fair to others who would like to use it for other things. I have an old DVD player and will need to buy a new one very soon but if my Wii could play DVDs then I'd use it. A music channel is the same, I wouldn't die without it but having everything in one place just makes it more convenient. Think if a laptop could only use Windows. *shudders

and don't forget the possibility of in-game music...

I'll try and find it for you. You know those games I won right? Well when I e-mailed the guys at IGN I also asked if they thought nintendo would release a demo channel and they said it was confirmed and that they wrote an article on it. So i'll find the article.
