I just picked up this game about an hour ago and I really like it. The story is interesting but doesn't take itself too seriously. Sonic is always joking around.
Thus far I've unlocked world 1 and 2 and my guy is on level 6. I was really surprised as to how enemies are destroyed. thrusting the Wii-mote forward is really cool and the controlls are surprisingly good. You don't have to play through each challenge in a world, but doing so just levels your guy up and allows for extras to be unlocked along with power-ups.
I haven't played it long enough to give it a full review, but what I've seen thus far is very impressive.

yeah I've seen reviews on that and the identical PS3 version. there was a good article about it on 1up.com a couple days ago telling how Sega was being rushed by Microsoft and Sony to release then at similar times.
Awesome! I have high hopes for this game. Gonna pick it up soon and see what I think.

my niece was playing earlier and somehow did a speed boost which made the screen look like a water bubble, then sonic takes off like a bat out of hell.....pretty cool stuff.
ok yea I'm like level 16 with 50 skill points and I just played this level on the 4th world and it was awesome. this thing had me spiraling so much and very fast and had a great mix of platforming.

I disagree, I kind of like the music, and I think it's ballsy to put that kind of music into an Arabian Nights story....this game ROCKS, but your arms are gonna feel it in the morning.
This game officially gets my thumbs up and approval. Music's a little cheesy in the menus and such but in game it fits. But my arms don't hurt at all from playing the game. I guess you must be making huge exagerated motions.

I just got the game too, I'm barely 2 paragraphs into the second chapter, so it's way too early to rate it...
I just played a little more and man is it awesome when you hit top speed and are avoiding all the enemies and (in this level) the fire arrows being shot at you. I havn't had this much fun playing a Sonic game since back on the Genesis and Game Gear. If anyone has any doubts about this being the best 3D Sonic ever, you can put your concerns to rest.
Yes, this game is great.
Also, it has the best graphics I've seen on the Wii so far.
Wow, some great stuff being said by some of our own. We still don't have it here but my friend told me it will be coming in this weekend and I'll pick it up then. Can't wait to give it a try.

hmm i'm not sure how your blockbuster is, but I'd expect that during the week many of their games would be in. I would think the weekends is when it would be hard to find.
