So, what happened to E3, whats in its place as of now, will it still have confreces and stuff?
And what is GDC? Another kind of conference thing?
E3 still exists, but its downsized to the max.
Ya, didn't Sony Microsoft and Nintendo leave E3 because of the money and stuff?
And what does E3 stand for? Was there an E1 and 2?
E3 = Electronic Entertainment Expo
On 08 August 2006, Gen Con, LLC announced that it would be expanding its gaming exhibits to include video games. The company also stated that it would increase venue space at it's Indianapolis convention and relocate its Anaheim convention to the Los Angeles Convention Center. However on 26 January 2007, Gen Con, LLC announced that it would be canceling its Anaheim show, Gen Con So Cal. The company cited a lack of growth in attendance and an increase in competing shows.
On 05 January 2007, IDG World Expo announced that the ESA had endorsed a consumer oriented successor to E³ and will be called Entertainment for All or E for All (which replaces the GamePro Expo name). The expo will take place from 18 October through 20 October 2007 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. This would allow for participating companies to sell their holiday releases to the attendees. There will likely be an entrance fee (perhaps ranging from USD$20 to $100), but attendance will no longer be limited to video game developers, retailers, and media.

Since its Wiki I'm not sure how accurate it is but I'm too lazy to go to the source's source.
So Nintendo and dem other 2 guys will still be at E3? Too bad only for 2 days.
I have no idea, I think we'll have to wait. The whole issue has been very quiet.
So much hush hush eh?
Well, can see what news they'll reveal at GDC!
E for All sounds neat. I live pretty close to LA so I could manage to go one year or something...
E3 was the conference for the press and media and all that hoopla, GDC is more for game developers and not so much the media. There are various talks going on all day and there's a lot of networking and job hunting going on during the day. I wouldn't get your hopes up going though, passes were about $900 a few weeks ago but now they're somewhere around $1400 I believe. They have a much cheaper student pass, but it's pretty pathetic.

No, there was never a 1 or 2. E3 stands for Electronic Entertainment Expo (If I remember correctly) and the 3 is there to show the E's. 3 E's. It's kinda like T3 - Tomorrow's Technology Today.
