well first off, the default controls for it sucks because as realistic as it feels you wont be able to beat the game like it (they should have adjusted the game just for those controls). What i mean by this is that in the very beginning its very hard to get used to...BUT NO WORRIES! if you go to options--> controls -->select control set 5. This makes the game beatable now....in the beginning of the game you create a crew and you hire other ppl to join it and you're basically trying to get your crew to the top. you try to complete races to dominate an area and eventually the enemy's crew leader. while customizing your car there were some cool features like the autoscuplt where you can make your own parts for your car. I haven't played the previous need for speeds but according to a friend who beat the game, the police chases lacked the same police chases there used to be. The cutscenes were pretty good in terms of graphics. Overall Need for speed was a good game if you can get used to the controls and the game itself was okay nothing great.
