UPDATE: Like I assumed, it's coming to North America as well. More below.
It's finally here. Ocarina of Time has made it's first appearance on the Virtual Console, and it's not where you'd expect to find it. Instead of first releasing it to the North American or Japanese markets Nintendo has given the Europeens and Australians the privilege of being the first to download what many consider to be one of, if not the greatest video game ever made.
This came as almost as big a shock as the release of the Everybody Votes channel since there was no announcement from Nintendo or even any sort of hint from anywhere else.
If you don't live in Europe or Australia and are feeling a little depressed I've got something that should cheer you up. I don't want to really get your hopes up but this could mean that there's a very realistic chance that the game could be coming to the US very soon. Maybe even as early as the next Virtual Console update (Mondays). So keep your eyes open to see when Ocarina of Time makes it to your region.
I must be half psychic. Not long after reporting this Nintendo has announced that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will be on North America's Virtual Console this Monday at 9AM Pacific. The game will cost 1000 Wii points to download. If you don't already own some version of the game, be it the original or one of the GameCube releases, this is a no brainer and should be downloaded instantly.

I'm torn. I kinda wanna get this game on the VC, but I already own it on the GC and 64. But if I downloaded it on the VC I'd be more likely to beat it since I play VC games inbetween Wii games...What should I do?

I'm getting my repaired wii back this monday, it'll have been 10 days by then since when they e-mailed me, I have 1500 point on me Wii too, hopefully I didn't have to get it replaced, if not, then...

Wow, it's finally here! Maybe they decided to release it due to people talking about a drought on the Wii. This does play on the Wii but technically it's not a Wii game. Many people who have this will still get it just to have it on the Wii and of course if you never had it then it is highly recommended that you do get it.
Cool I'll get it because...my Wii feels incomplete without it.
