A new Pokemon game has been announced by the name of 'Pokmon Battle Revolution', it is coming out for the Nintendo Wii.
If you haven't viewed th video yet, you can check it out here.
What I would like to see are online guilds. Obviously there might be some online battles via Wi-Fi.

I've just watched the video, and am thinking of more things that could be possible with this game. What bothers me is the the controller. How would it work with a Pok?mon game? Seems that it would be more complex than just choosing a few options given to you.

Discuss.
It'll be interesting, the main thing I want from this Pokemon game is an actual single-player mode that doesn't stink. I want it to be like an actual Pokemon game, none of this "shadow pokemon" junk.

Choosing the commands with the Wiimote will be interesting. I'm guessing we'll be pointing the wiimote at the screen and there'll be like a pointer or something... or maybe we'll just use the D-pad since Pokemon battles don't use too many buttons at all.
Maybe you just use the D-pad in battles like LemonManX2 said, and the Wiimote and nunchuck attachment outside of battles. Hopefully they will make it like the handheld games; huge free roam environment and lots of different pokemon, unlike Colosseum and XD for Gamecube, neither of which had more than 90 pokemon (I know XD didn't, but I'm not quite sure about Colosseum, but I think it had about 48). It's a shame thay can't put ALL the pokemon in the game. It would be cool, but I don't think they'd do that.
No Offense to the pokemon peeps but i dont like pokemon....But i mite check this one out...i did like the pokemon games on the gameboys

I never played either Pokemon games for the GC... my friend liked them though. I want a real single-player mode too, but it would be kool for it to be RPG style...

I stopped liking Pokemon after Gold and Silver. But I want a REAL single player Pokemon game for Wii to fulfil the final Pokemon fan needs so I can lay that series to rest in my head lol.
I think pokemon games could get a lot more tactical if they took advantage of the wii-mote's laser pointing/pinpoint accuracy. Imagine if pokemon could be commanded to strike specific body parts (just give the command for the power, then point and click), with combat penalties assigned to different areas of the body (reduce speed/agility for damage to legs, reduce accuracy for head damage, etc.).
The problem w/ pokemon games is that they refuse to innovate (like Sony).
althouh im not a big pokemon fan i do look forward to the games
i like the GB/GBA versions they were pretty fun i hope they get this console Pokemon game right though
This game looks sweet and the WiFi connection will be used almost everyday by the pokefans.

that would neat but i would rather see it used to control movement so the pokemon are no longer stationary. but then would it still be a RPG?

i'm also excited by pokemon diamond and pearl

Nobody plays pokemon any more Are there?

Online gameplay video.
Doesn't look too laggy. Looks like a traditional Pokemon console game.

God dammit, it uses friend codes! As in, a separate friend code from your Wii one.
I must be honest... I'm unhappy.
I'm enraged. The second I read the report on Aussie-Nintendo I felt an urge to become the Hulk.
I think Pokemon games would be pretty laid back on the Wii if you just point and click all the time. It sounds pretty cool if that's the control scheme. I just turn it on, sit back, and start a battle, by choosing my attack with the wii-mote. I don't even have to get out of bed.
