I think it was a joke T_T

i somehow doubt that
why is everyone so afraid to post their friggin' age? i've worked hard to make it my 21 years. only reason would be if you're under 16, 'cause people under that are immature way too often and are taken seriously very rarely (for good reason). you just haven't lived much when you've only been around 16 years

I'm.. 16...
I feel its a security reason. If your younger, its not because you don't want them to know your young, (unless yo're < 13, then you aren't even legally allowed to regester in a forum) but because your parents tell you not to, and all that stuff.

i know. i was originally gonna put 18, but then i remembered how young you are so changed it
i remember what it was like when i was 16. i thought i knew everything, but i knew nothing. the world's a completely different place when you become an adult and there are very, VERY few people 16 or under who know that

I've traveled the world a bit. So I have an idea

i said very, VERY few people. so you're an exception. sue me (like you need the money, which i don't have, and is sarcastic, 'cause you obviously don't)

You guys in the states are too lucky, you become an adult at 16 in the uk, you get to keep your childhood a little longer.
you can do anything you want (with the exception of drink (18) and drive(17)) provided its within the law.
I have to worry about taxes, life decisions and other shiz now :/
and I fully know I don't 'know it all' but I doubt I ever will. I'm tired of society basing their perception of someone purely by age. You're treated as if you are completely incapable of making your own decisions if you're under the age of 16 and suddenly when you pass that point, you have to get a job, pay taxes, make sure that your national insurance details are kept up to date so you don't end up with a court trial because they think you're comitting benefit fraud.
There are midlifed people that are incapable of handling themselves in those kind of situations and there are 8-year-olds with university degrees. As soon as someone is capable of independance, age holds very little baring on how someone can behave or act.
