I have animal crossing for the gamecube, but never really got into it. I like the idea behind it, but would rather have a similar game with real Wii users being part of the community. Maybe we should start deciding will be the village idiot, the tramp, and the drunkard Wink
Being the simmer that I am I was pretty disappointed to see such crazy-looking "sims" for the wii. But this makes me feel a little better. I still don't know if I'd play it or not though. Sims games never do too well on consoles.
Hey, I found this info firstSadMy Sims Thread

I never did understand the Sim games... my cousin likes them and I don't see why people are drawn to them.

i think it's the whole "God Complex" thing...people want to be able to control others, and being able to control an entire family/town is entertaining. not much into it myself anymore, but i used to be. when it all started to get repetitive as the days went on, i tried to do things that would destroy the people..."you need to go to the bathroom? baah! just hold it! *deletes toilet* stop whining! WHAT?!?!! you peed on the floor! ooh, that's it. now you're on my black list. yep. imma kill you off. now im not giving you stairs to the bathroom at all. and imma leave the music on 24/7 and not let you turn it off."

i wonder though...would I still be able to torment the people like that in MySims? and someone said this before, but it'd be awesome if we could import our Miis into the game.

Linkszelda, you're probably right, for some people. But I think most people play it for the same reason we all play any game... Entertainment and a temporary escape from real life. Some people like the Sims, some don't. Just like some people like Zelda and some don--wait, bad example...EVERYONE loves Zelda games! Toungue

I think many people have an idea of what the games are, and honestly they're wrong. If you like building stuff, and like a role playing games making things better, then I think you'd like the sims. If that's not your cup of tea, then you probably won't.
I don't really like building a city...I prefer action.
The sims has always been about building you life and maintaining a good one, not so much for the action.
Imagine this....If the Mii channel actually became something like a Sims game where as everyone could communicate like that and live in their own Wii houses... Then you could get together with friends from that channel and play online games together.
Ok now that, that would be cool.
I think that would be an amazing thing, and I'd love to see Nintendo try it
really good article on my sims in april nintendo power, just got it yesterday
Is it just me, or do I smell chibi world domination?

That's the only thing I do in the Sims games. Create a nice, happy family then torment them. Although it doesn't look like it, I hope there's more ways for them to express their emotion. As in, when you torment them in one way or another, do they cry? Or will they be emotionless bastards?

I think your one of those people who shouldn't have kids Wink just kidding of course...I really think the Sims could be taken in a whole new direction with the Wii, so let's hope it happens.
