In an interview with CVG Dead or Alive creator Tomonobu Itagaki was talking about a possibly putting one of his franchise coming to Wii. He says the thought crossed his mind because of Wii Sports and it's possibilities with fighting games.

I thought Dead or Alive was a franchise that had gone totally Microsoft systems. If this has changed and the Wii gets a chance at this one that's cool, but I'm still waiting for SSMB
