If this was posted before my mistake. I don't have time to keep up with who posts what about every single subject here.
But I was digging around for any possible info in regards to seeing Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy on the VC. Where I came across an article posted on the first of the month which contained an interview with Square's Hiromichi Tanaka. From what it sounds like now the Wii is going to be seeing more than The Crystal Chronicles now. It seems that there is also talks of either a port or another exclusive Final Fantasy title. Maybe the 20th anniversary remake of FF1 perchance?

Yay, Final Fantasy, sounds interesting, as said, hopefuly an exclusive FF for Wii, or at least for all 3 consoles.
If they made an exclusive other then CC then that would be suhweeet.

Actraiser is actually a classic title. Unless you're a hardcore old school gamer you probably won't like the way it plays or how it looks, but it was a great game back in the day.

My bad. I guess I'm mostly aware of the continuous repackaging of the FF titles as well as some others I've seen floating around primarily on the GBA and Playstation one before that.
Well, regardless they continue to sell in each incarnation and I'm sure it's not just to people that have never played them before. This game will probably sell on VC simply because it's made by Square-Enix. Their reputation is that good, and they've learned to capitalize on it many times over. Good for them.
The only thing I want from the 20th anniversary is an announcement for a Final Fantasy VII remake for PS3. That's all I want from Square right now.
I'd like to see an FFIX remake or possibly another tactics game.
Why would they remake FF-IX? I mean, it was a popular game but it seems a bit random.
FF-VII is currently being extended with a compilation, this year its FF's 20th anniversary and is also FF-VII's 10th anniversary I believe.
I just hope thats what the announcement is, anything less and I won't be as satisfied.
Dunno why'd they make it. I just wanna see it happen. If it's going to be ANY sort of remake it'll probably be a one or seven remake. IX just simply gets no love. Can they at least put one of their characters in KH? (No Vivi was lame)

Actraiser 1 & 2 were actually good games back in the day. they were definitely unique, especially for Square. i'd say an FF1 remake is most appropriate. updated like FF3. it could happen

They're rereleasing FF one on PSP i believe, not redone like FFIII but, with basically tweaked graphics maybe more. I didn't bother reading it since i have the GBA I&II game.
FF-I is being remade on PSP I believe. Another reason to buy a PSP. It'll be better than Dawn of Souls (FF-I + II) but yeah, don't expect something amazingly huge for Square and Nintendo.
Nothing can be worth buying a PSP, it costs as much as a Wii for Christs sakes. I'll stick with my FF1 cart than buy a portable that has next to no good games whatsoever.
come to think of it, there have already been 2 updates to FF1. why would they make another?
after realizing that, i'm hoping for a FF complete anthology. Final Fantasy 1 - 12 released in one huge package with bonus material and such. if the PS2 could handle FFXII, the Wii can too. plus, the DS is the only system to have FFIII, so i'd see Nintendo getting the anthology. even FFI - FFX or so. i'd be disappointed with I-XI though
