Does anyone out there run this type of setup?
I run an iBook, and just today purchased Apple's new Airbase station for wireless connectivity. I would also like to be able to stream content off my laptop and to my 360, but have no clue how I would go about doing that with a Mac.
Can anyone help me?
i doubt it'll work seeing as how Apple and Microsoft are major rivals. I suppose if you were running that emulator thing and Windows Vista on the Mac it might work.
i think i remember reading about it. IIRC it had something to do with needing to use WEP encryption and having to manually input the info into 360's system. one method to get it to work is to by turning WEP off which i wouldnt recommend. im pretty sure MS will patch it up on their next system update.
I have yet to make any changes with the two units. I still have my 360 hardwired to one router (I didn't feel like dropping $100 for Microsoft's wireless receiver), while my Wii is working great off the Airbase station.
GL, I read the samething on Xbox360fanboy's website. Although, they had a workaround to drop the WEP while still having a way to have some security (which is better than none).
Would something like this work for you?

it's on amazon.com for $65.66, and there are many other brands that are cheaper, but do the same thing.

you dont need to use MS's wireless receiver. i do think there's a list of cheaper and compatible wireless receivers in their site.
