i have video editing projects at work and need to upgrade my computer, keep hearing Mac is the way to go,
anyone had any experience with DV editing on a PC or a Mac?
thanks
I wouldn't know, but my Media teacher is all about the Mac...
He says its better.. so if its his job, I'm assuming he took the better choice.
Macs are well know for their 'better' video/image/audio editing and manipulation capabilities.
And the newest of macs can run windows too.
go for it

get the mac. there so good for editing pc sucks for editing i no from experiance. get a mac an final cuit
I used iMovie once, it screwed my whole final Media project around by moving audio around and ruining my synced up film..
So I hate Macs and when I saw the Mac World in Melbourne I got a photo of me giving it the finger.
F you Macs.
I now use Premiere and that works on Windows anyway, so I could care less what gay computer I'm editing on. They both suck.
lol someone's in a great mood

I want to destroy Apple Computers lol.
Lol.. but they so much better then PCs!
Or the reason that they dont have viruses is.. Nobady cares...
although i hate to admit it, a Mac is better to use if you're going to be using the big programs like that. i've worked on both a pc and a mac for animations, films, music...and idk why, but the processing and programs and capabilities of the macs i worked on were 10x better than the pcs.
for me, it was a lot less of a hassle
PC vs. Mac

didnt mean to poke up some deep seeded emotions there lemon,
thanks everyone for the advice...now, laptop or desktop?
whichever one you can get the most storage space with...for our school, we have laptops for classes, and then we're required to buy desktops
Mac Book Pro it is then,
thanks LinksZelda and everyone, good advice...
