Imagine a game where you were the boss. You could manipulate the world anyway you wanted to and do anything you heart desired.

LittleBigPlanet was just discussed at GDC and has a lot of people very excited.

I realize I'm unable to tell you much about this upcoming.."game" on the PS3, but I'd suggest you go to --->CLICK HERE FOR 1UP.COM PODCAST<--- and learn more about this game. Be warned though, the conversation in this podcast is of an adult nature.

yea this game looks fantastic. I really like Mark's ideas. I had an email conversation with the guy about his last game Ragdollkungfu. I believe this game came from the start of an expansion of a map editor like function for his first game RDKF. Great guy and even greater game developer. Hes real big into user created content as all can see in both his games. I would seriously buy a ps3 just for this game. Im a huge fan of user created content. I hope this game is a huge hit.
I saw a video of this game yesterday, and it has me very excited.

If I see more of this sort of thing, I may be tempted to get a PS3 sooner rather than later.
If Sony starts pushing out "very different" games like this, they may surprise everyone, and sell a crap load of systems. Remember, Nintendo has survived in the past and is now flourishing because of it's quirky games.
It sounds a bit similiar to Black and White where you control a "God" and the villager's lives are in your hands. You can protect or destroy, etc... Looks and sounds cool though! Toungue
saw this on g4, it looks amazing, cant wait to see it for reals
you'll have to head over to manaburnX's place and try it out.
i frickin love this game! the art style is just incredible. have you guys seen the videos over at gamesvideos.com? i would buy a ps3 just for this game alone and im not even a sony fan. this game has sooo much potential. it's almost like an interactive Rube Goldberg machine.

must. have. this. game.
Yup, there's a link to some video under the photo I posted towards the top
this seems to be a much better fit for PC. all the menus popping up would seem to be a hassle using a controller. better yet, put it on the Wii Big Grin

Well not my home place since I don't own PS3 but yeah I know a guy who knows a guy that could get you some playtime with it.

This is one of those games/experiences cause I'm not sure if you'd really call it a game, that will be advertised all over or you'll see Youtube clips about different people's areas continuously.

No. Just, no.

As for the game, Sony has a hit on their hands with this thing. Looks incredible. *adds to list of reasons to buy a PS3*

I can see where this would be a very good PC game. I mean somethings are just easier with a mouse, but I'm sure the PS3 controls will be good.
I hope they release a Demo of this soon. I love being able to download demo games on my PS3 before buying, the Wii should pick up this feature (sadly though not probable since many PS3 demos are like 700 MB Dl's for one level -_-).

But yeah, if they release this for DL as a demo I will post up my impressions.
I think I heard on 1up.com's podcast that they expected the Demo to be available for download in either April or March...just keep your eyes and ears peeled.
The download is in Fall, and the retail version is expected in 08.
I guess they are using user created maps in the final retail version's single player. Wink

Perhaps even surpassing MGS4, this has been the most impressive PS3 game so far for me.
I think MGS4 has been buzzed so much, that it will probably let people down, but littlebigplanet is something that can be altered and made new continuously Smile
