SSX Blur Review

I love snowboarding. I live in Minnesota, so how could I not? In turn, I had very high expectations for this game. I was hoping for great powder effects, carving, and (most of all) huge tricks. I not only had high expectations from being a snowboarder myself but also because SSX is a great series with great games, and few plunders. Does SSX Blur totally disappoint me, or is it the downfall of the SSX series? You will find out in this full review of SSX Blur.

there's no reason for this to be in the news area. it's not news. it's a review. maybe it should go in the review section. just a cooky idea i had.
It is in the review section. It's news because its Brand-spanking new.
Not to mention not a lot of people check out the reviews section so this gives some publicity for it and frankly isn't when something happens and it's new, news? So Kindrik posted news about a brand new review!

the game being released may be news, but a review is a review. if we started putting up news threads just because they don't get noticed much, we'd have RP threads there, threads on TV shows, Off Topic stuff. there's a setup to the forum for a reason. if we're not following the categories why not just make it one huge forum with everything thrown in together?
We get tons of news! How is this going to effect anything? Plus Kindrik is experienced with the News so I trust that he knows what he's doing.
A whole bunch of websites similar to ours post reviews on their main page. Our main page is essentially the News Portal. And trust me, this is much more relevant to news and to WiiLoaded than a bunch sites that post almost anything. I usually prefer not to post things that are only screenshots, box arts, or news about 2-bit titles (ie: Happy Feet, Any Bully, Ninjabread Man). So I feel quite comfortable about posting reviews here so that non-members who might stop by our Portal will be able to take a look at the reviews.
And yes there is a set up. But the only reason we made a reviews forum was because we didn't know who we'd take as "official" WiiLoaded reviewers which would've wrote reviews in the Portal which was our original plan. So this is pretty much us following through on that idea while still giving all the other members the freedom to post reviews. And this also doesn't mean that every review is going to show up here.
I agree with nomad, certainly no disrespect to Mr. Luben's review, but a review is not news. Especially a review of a game that is 3 weeks old. There is a reviews section and a news section for a reason. If you want a forum where every single thread gets put into then go for it, just don't randomly mix the existing ones together.
Just my two cents.
For those saying this doesn't belong on the portal... how would you feel if you worked your butts off working on something for a long time and not get any comments on it? How would you feel? Would you like people coming up to you and saying it doesn't belong here? Ok than. IMO

Okay, here's MY two cents.
Sure the Portal is for news, but I say if a review is good enough then Hell... show it off in the portal. Let the web see what our reviewers are capable of and they might join the forum to see what we can do.
Yes, we have a review section for a reason, hence why Kindrik said only the best quality ones will be moved here for display.
There's honestly nothing wrong with the idea, it advertises reviews and can bring in more future members.
But hey, maybe I'm being too logical.
I agree with lemonManX on this one (Not only because its my review). It kinda sucks to only get 25 hits and 3 comments on a reveiw that i worked mabye 2 to 3 days on and played 20 hours....It may also bring in new reviewers and members....Its not like its spamming up the news portal ether....

Like Mr.Luben said it sucks to only get a few hits on your reviews and a couple comments! Especially after working on it for a few days and playing the game to it's max to get the most out of it and make the best review possible.
Plus some people just like reading reviews so perhaps more members will come?
