The idea behind the game finds players in another hip-hop brawlfest, though the story mode moves away from underground fight clubs and more towards the kind of beefs that get rappers killed, get people to listen to Wendy Williams, and sell issues of magazines. Instead of being part of D-Mob's crew and pushing Snoop Dogg out of a plate-glass window, players will be part of a record label. This means minigames that involve setting up budgets for marketing/street teams, creation of merchandise, radio airplay, and PR. It also means lots of bailing out entourage members from jail and dealing with really whiny, stupid requests from label members that frankly, will probably make rappers look less cool than they seem to America's BET-watching youth. At this point we've nearly finished the single-player "Build a Label" mode, and the storyline has gone from a little ridiculous to fairly preposterous.

Feel free to give your impression about this title.
This game visually looks great, but from what I heard the gameplay is kinda dull. I dont think it will be as good as fight for NY, but with the Fighters I saw it had IE: THE GAME, T.I, It will be making want to get this game for the 360.

Also, the story looks like it will be great.

This game looks like it has the potential to be a great game, but I think they may have screwed up with the game play, from what I've seen.
My opinion on this game? Snore.

Come on PS3, give me MGS4, FF-XIII, DMC4, Heavy Rain ect.
Many people say bad things about all the Def Jam games, but I've loved them all...

Those games are coming out in 2008, most likely, except DMC4, So I say get a 360.

If I could get this game I would get a 360 and buy it.

I checked the story thing, And it looks BALLIN, It looks so cool, to hire a rapper than do you stuff with them, I want this game so bad.

and GFT77 All I can say is thanks, You have done something GREAT! Big Grin

I think this game looks very interesting. The graphics are really a bump over the other games, and the environments looks like they're really interactive...Plus I have to admit that I love the music.
I think the interactiveness with the whole switching of beats and stuff will get a little boring, and after playing for like 2 weeks the whole Gameplay will get dull.
maybe, I'd have to get my hands on it before letting you know how it is. I think the beats thing is similar to what they did in the other ones though. where you could use your analog stick and have your fighter do some sort of taunting move to gain power.
If I had a PS3, I would probably rent this game, but not buy it. It looks good, but I don't care for hip-hop music too much
After having 1 and 2 I'd probably get this. I like how many unlockables you get in games like this and have you can basically level your people up.
If this game was priced at $39.99, would you buy it?
