I'm a huge fan of the Megaman Zero series. I was nearly blown off my seat when I heard that they were making a version for DS. I'm at work right now, so I can't go link hunting due to security measures, but I'll write down what I've learned.
The game takes place in the same time period or close to that of Megaman Zero. You get to pick between two reploids; one designed as a male and another as a female. They appear to be very animeish with the Rockman dash (3D style Megaman released for PS and N64) style chest piece with khakis as pants. You get different armours which appear to resemble the generals, Zero, and X's armour. The game claims to be more open ended with towns and side quests instead of the 8 stage style common to most Megaman games. The artwork is very similar to Zero with subtle differences which make the characters appear more lively, but at the same time more childish.
I'm happy that the DS has got it's own style of Megaman. I'm definately going to be there the day it hits shelves.
