First, the setup. Opoona is not only the game's title, but the name of the main character, as well. Opoona, a descendant of the brave Cosmo Guards, is visiting the planet Landroll with his family, when he's separated from them and find his parents in the hospital for series injuries and both his brother and sister completely missing. What happened? In Opoona, it's your job to earn a license to travel to other colonies and find out. These licenses are different jobs -- rescuer, idol, detective -- and players pick and choose what they'd like to become.

oo you already posted it, sorry about that

well its going to be intersting to see how this game plays out, if it is nunchuck only, since there are only two buttons on it.
No Problema, Character artwork.

Some of the characters look like Pokemon on crack...
Or that walking pitcher of Koolaid if he were turned into a human a la Shrek.

I'm not usually one to judge a game simply because of its graphical style but this is friggin ridiculous. It looks like artwork from a grade 2 class.
its interesting how Nintendo has been using odd-type of graphics in their games to make up for the lack of the Wii's graphical power
I've started to notice that too Wenis. I don't expect the Wii to be a graphics powerhouse because that's not why I bought it. However, I hope all of these games are not just trying to cover up that fact. Don't get me wrong, I like the art style like this every once in a while but it seems to be for the majority of the games now.
i don't really agree with that as a whole. this is just the artistic style that the elebits team is utilizing to make quirky games. i personally like this... and i enjoyed elebits thoroughly. i can't wait for dewey's adventure.
I didn't say I didn't enjoy this style because I do but the amount of games that are out or scheduled for release that feature this style is becoming overwhelming. Take a look through the general games section and all the games coming out soon and you'll see what I mean.

In case you didn't feel like looking I through in a couple of games with a "cartoony" style to show you what I'm talking about. Oh, and don't take it that I don't like these games I'm just showing you that there are way too many coming out.

Tony Hawk Downhill Jam
Trauma Center
Wario Ware
Elebits
Billy and Mandy
Chicken Little: Ace in Action
Scad Hammers
Wing Island
Bust A Move Bash
Pokemon Battle Revolution
Cooking Mama
Legend of the Dragon
Meet the Robinsons
Naruto
Kororinpa
Marble Mania
Bomberman Land
Cosmic Family
Anubis II
Billy the Wizard
Action Girlz Racing
Hamster Heroes
London Taxi Rush Hour
Mini Desktop Racing
Monster Truck Extreme
Myth Makers Super Kart GP
Ninjabread Man
Rock 'N' Roll
Myth Makers Trixie in Toyland

Those are just a small portion of the ones I'm talking about but I got tired of looking. That's plenty enough to show you.
See the things is 75% of those are Sh*t and some of them can't not look cartoony, or would take away from the feel.

I know what you mean though. My opinion? No. There's also a lot of games out there that are the opposite and most aren't crap.
I'm gonna sound like the black sheep but, I think the graphics fit this game...I agree w/ the wii's currently previewed and released titles seem to employ the "stylized" look more frequently then I've seen in the past 5 years but, we still should take into context that the wii hasn't even been out a year and we really havent seen what can be done with it's graphics chip...Granted I want the games to look better but this console hasn't had the power tapped yet and though it won't get 360 or PS3 worthy it will be more than worth what I paid for my wii.And I bought it for what it was made for..Fun. Graphics are great but, in all honesty I haven't played a single next gen game on any system that compares to the SNES or PS classics that to me truly made gaming great. Oh, well...I just want my SMG, Sadness,Brawl,Metroid, Paper Mario,NMH'S, and whatever gold lays in the valley of the wii's life span.

I'm not saying that every game needs to look real. C'mon, my favorite game is Wario Ware and I wouldn't have it any other way Toungue

I'm just saying that there needs to be a balance and I just showed some of those titles because they make up a huge portion of the games coming out soon. I doubt anyone could make a list that long (that list is not nearly completed but I got lazy) with games that looked otherwise.

Some games should use this style and it fits with them but it looks like now game companies are not trying to push the Wii to its limits. I want to see what the Wii can do and too many of the gaming companies are being lazy and taking the easy way out. [/rant]

I'm guessing that this will never see the light of day in the Americas. That's fine by me.
It might come out here,no official word on it's release anywhere
i want it in europe..this game looks cool
As you can see by these pictures, the game is a RPG

I can not take an RPG with those kind of graphics seriously. For me, an RPG is about "becoming" the character you play. And with cartoons, I just can't do that.

I could be wrong, maybe I'll like the game. I think these kind of graphics are great, go ahead use them for other games, but for an RPG, I just don't agree.

On a side note, these drawings are pretty crappy looking if I may say so myself. Chibi's are great, but these ones suck. Excpecially the "Humans".
