all (both) of the submissions are great so far. hopefully there will be many more gifted designers post their submissions before we decide on a final design
I like Phrost's and I like Wenis's 2nd Wii one and 2nd PS3 one. They all look so freaking awesome! They really do look professional to me. Great job guys!
UPDATE: if designing different icons for the different SPOTLIGHT ON versions, please include a version for the Nintendo DS as well. the DS will be receiving its own SPOTLIGHT ON version shortly.
wenis, im diggin the first two, but mostly the second. the only changes i would suggest is to remove the reflection on the first pic. it's a bit distracting, and instead of it saying "wii", have it say wiiloaded. that way the same image/banner can be used throughout the forums.

now that I think of it that wiiloaded one cant be used on the PS3 spotlight because the pic of that wii. and If i made a ps3 one with wiiloaded on it, it would be.... ackward

i think if you center the text, it'll look better.
and make the words 'spotlight on' a little larger too.
actually, the asymetrical look of those logos looks good. symetry in advertisements and such is confortable to the human eye and perception, something asymetrical and still balanced, like the latest trio of designs, adds uniqueness, action and catches the eye better

Phrost's animated one is just too awesome for words but perhaps the Wii sould say WiiLoaded instead and other versions would need to be made for the PS3, XBox360 and Nintendo DS. Wenis's old and news ones, especially the new ones are really great too. Great work on here and like nomad said, it's gonna be tough to pick.

Yah I was wondering if we could collaborate, maybe add something new, cause each person would do something different, have their own take on it...etc...I have the .psd for it, and that one I made earlier was kind of just to show you what I liked, not everything is perfect in it...and yes the text and all that can be easily changed.
well, as soon as you clean it up, we can use your design, phrost, for the Wii version. GFT77 has already recruited someone for the PS3 SPOTLIGHT ON logo. i am still looking for a designer for the DS logo though. i don't like the idea of giving one person everything when there are other talented designers around here. now, if phrost wants to share his ".psd file" (whatever the crap that is) to someone so they can adjust it to their own preferences for the DS version and claim credit, that'd be between that designer and phrost. i ain't gettin' in the middle of that one. watched too many Jerry Springer episodes to know where that'd go
Well, I don't know which one is going to be used for the Spotlight On: but I'd love to have any of them modified for my Weekly OT Contest. The one I threw together is completely horrible and I really didn't put much time and effort into it because I've been really busy lately and don't have those kinds of skills to start with.
