Pretty nice, I'll ask D4rk about the flash.

First off, thanks for choosing my wii design, nomad, I will get you a better version of it if you would like a little more effort into it.

that's all up to you man. i love the design so far, but if you want to do a bit of tweaking and give me the updated design i'll go in and change the last two and give the writers the new link for it. completely your choice though

If you can't embed Flash then this is no use, if i make it animated (.gif) it just doesn't work. Was just a test haven't done much in Flash latley...

wow. lookin' great so far. i've been thinking though, the only design left we really need is for the DS SPOTLIGHT ON. with that in mind, my idea was to show a DS and have the backlight turn on with the words SPOTLIGHT ON on the top screen and the title of the game on the bottom screen. possibly the titles start up screen or something from the game. box art. whatever. just not sure how easy that would be for an animation

i love you guys going so far for this project though. this is the effort we need to make this a hot subject in WiiLoaded Big Grin

Animating a DS shouldn't be that hard atall, ill have to create one in Flash which will probably be the hardest part, ill see what i can come up with.
OK Animated DS Big Grin

http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/52213165/

Took a while to get the DS vectorized but reduces load time so i didn't put a pre-loader on. The bottom DS screen shows a image resolution 133x100 which is obtained externally from the file, that Mario Kart image was just slapped on a freewebs account. So i can edit the ActionScript then it'll easily load in a file from where you want as long as the file name stays the same. using .png images works best.

Hopes you like Smile
Nice, I'm not very knowledgable about Animations, but I have an idea.
How about you make the DS open? If its difficult don't bother.

Just start the DS off closed.
When it opens the light will turn green signaling it's turning on.
The top screen will brighten, displaying "Spotlight on:"
Then the bottom screen will flicker and display DS, or w/e else Nomad wants.
Then it closes and repeats.

Again, if this is to difficult, don't bother. I don't know a thing about animations.
I was going to try that but i don't have access to any 3D app extention to Flash, i could try a trial of it or just create lots of motion tweening but its probably going to make it a bigger file. Might make it start tuned off though.
Soz for double posting again but meh lol...

Updated it didn't do it as it opens but the system now 'turns on' and has a stylus to point stuff out.
are you freakin' kidding? it looks AMAZING!! i have no idea what you said about the bottom screen image, but if you want to change it the cover of "Children of Mana", i'll get the 1st installment of SLO DS version done sometime this week

i am definitely repping you for this Big Grin

now the problem. how will i include all these images on my siggy? >.<
With the bottom screen i can link it to find a certain file on the net, so if you have a photobucket account or some hosting then if you give me the link to the image say its called image.png, i can edit that in to the Flash file so it looks for image.png at the link, then when you want a new image just re-upload a new image same dimensions, name and file type then the flash file will load in that one. BUT it has to be the same file name.

As for getting it in your siggy, i dunno >.<. Ill see if i can find away of doing it.

EDIT: OK to get it into your sig the only way it can be done is to allow for HTML to be used in signatures, as you need the HTML to get the Flash file etc, then comes another problem, the sig length needs to be increased the smallest i can the HTML code in length is just over 500 characters! and the forum only allows for 255 or what ever.

So if you could change that just for your profile or who ever is going to use it then you could put it in, but until then there is no way of displaying a .swf file on the forum.

This is the HTML code.

Code:
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
<title></title>
</head>
<body bgcolor="#666666">
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
<param name="movie" value="ds.swf" /><param name="quality" value="high" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#666666" /><embed src="ds.swf" quality="high" bgcolor="#666666" width="420" height="350" name="" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" />
</body>
</html>

Perhaps D4rk could make an exception? Or encode the flash file onto the site. Nomad, you can contact him. I'm not motivated enough :p

Nice work btw, I think it would look better if, instead of having the regular layout on the top screen, t just said "Spotlight On",

but in the end, its Nomad's decision, and yours as well, considering you made it. :p
If you think that would work better i could do something about it Smile
i do actually like just SPOTLIGHT ON on the top to show off our coolness Big Grin. as for everything you said regarding HTML and the HUGE coding, you're talking to the wrong guy. i'll send d4rk a PM asking him what he thinks about it

can you not even include the image in a post?
test:
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
<title></title>

<body bgcolor="#666666">
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
<param name="movie" value="ds.swf" /><param name="quality" value="high" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#666666" /><embed src="ds.swf" quality="high" bgcolor="#666666" width="420" height="350" name="" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" />
</body>
</html>

well there's my answer Sad
i'll ask d4rk bout it

Code:
[flash=widthxheight]url[/flash]

eg
[flash=420x350]http://fc01.deviantart.com/fs13/f/2007/091/0/c/Flash_Nintendo_DS_by_ArtByScott.swf[/flash]

Note: scripting is off for security reasons.

Great Big Grin

Since i saw that i edited the Flash file, so now you get the bit coming up just saying Spotlight On:

http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/52213165/

What about hosting? And for the image that will need to be uploaded somewhere too, i could just put up a freewebs site if needed and then it could be linked from there. But that might not work too well.
Upload it using the sites mechanisms and I'll move it to a secure folder
this all looks so cool Big Grin

now if i could just figure out wth you're talking about huh?

that it does W_R. that it does ^_^

Thanks Big Grin

Who's uploading it?

If you have a link to the location of the folder that the file would be in and where the bottom screen image would be then i can put the link to the image into the flash file, then you can just update that image file each time.
that does sound like it'd be helpful

test:

EDIT: WOOT! it worked Big Grin

does this mean we'll be overran with flash images now, D4rk?
