that's all up to you man. i love the design so far, but if you want to do a bit of tweaking and give me the updated design i'll go in and change the last two and give the writers the new link for it. completely your choice though

wow. lookin' great so far. i've been thinking though, the only design left we really need is for the DS SPOTLIGHT ON. with that in mind, my idea was to show a DS and have the backlight turn on with the words SPOTLIGHT ON on the top screen and the title of the game on the bottom screen. possibly the titles start up screen or something from the game. box art. whatever. just not sure how easy that would be for an animation
i love you guys going so far for this project though. this is the effort we need to make this a hot subject in WiiLoaded

Took a while to get the DS vectorized but reduces load time so i didn't put a pre-loader on. The bottom DS screen shows a image resolution 133x100 which is obtained externally from the file, that Mario Kart image was just slapped on a freewebs account. So i can edit the ActionScript then it'll easily load in a file from where you want as long as the file name stays the same. using .png images works best.
Hopes you like

How about you make the DS open? If its difficult don't bother.
Just start the DS off closed.
When it opens the light will turn green signaling it's turning on.
The top screen will brighten, displaying "Spotlight on:"
Then the bottom screen will flicker and display DS, or w/e else Nomad wants.
Then it closes and repeats.
Again, if this is to difficult, don't bother. I don't know a thing about animations.

Updated it didn't do it as it opens but the system now 'turns on' and has a stylus to point stuff out.
i am definitely repping you for this

now the problem. how will i include all these images on my siggy? >.<
As for getting it in your siggy, i dunno >.<. Ill see if i can find away of doing it.
EDIT: OK to get it into your sig the only way it can be done is to allow for HTML to be used in signatures, as you need the HTML to get the Flash file etc, then comes another problem, the sig length needs to be increased the smallest i can the HTML code in length is just over 500 characters! and the forum only allows for 255 or what ever.
So if you could change that just for your profile or who ever is going to use it then you could put it in, but until then there is no way of displaying a .swf file on the forum.
This is the HTML code.
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
<title></title>
</head>
<body bgcolor="#666666">
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
<param name="movie" value="ds.swf" /><param name="quality" value="high" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#666666" /><embed src="ds.swf" quality="high" bgcolor="#666666" width="420" height="350" name="" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" />
</body>
</html>
Nice work btw, I think it would look better if, instead of having the regular layout on the top screen, t just said "Spotlight On",
but in the end, its Nomad's decision, and yours as well, considering you made it. :p

. as for everything you said regarding HTML and the HUGE coding, you're talking to the wrong guy. i'll send d4rk a PM asking him what he thinks about itcan you not even include the image in a post?

well there's my answer

i'll ask d4rk bout it
[flash=widthxheight]url[/flash]
eg
[flash=420x350]http://fc01.deviantart.com/fs13/f/2007/091/0/c/Flash_Nintendo_DS_by_ArtByScott.swf[/flash]
Note: scripting is off for security reasons.

Since i saw that i edited the Flash file, so now you get the bit coming up just saying Spotlight On:

What about hosting? And for the image that will need to be uploaded somewhere too, i could just put up a freewebs site if needed and then it could be linked from there. But that might not work too well.

now if i could just figure out wth you're talking about

now if i could just figure out wth you're talking about

It does look great though.

now if i could just figure out wth you're talking about

that it does W_R. that it does

Who's uploading it?
If you have a link to the location of the folder that the file would be in and where the bottom screen image would be then i can put the link to the image into the flash file, then you can just update that image file each time.
test:
EDIT: WOOT! it worked

does this mean we'll be overran with flash images now, D4rk?
