Saw this on Digg and thought I would share...
It seems Nintendo has Super Mario Galaxy listed as being 2 player...could Luigi actually finally have a role in the SMB series once again?

Some 2 player co-op online would be rad...The thought of it being on GameSpy though scares me a bit...
yeah...though I do remember someone referencing to one player being the pointer and the other controlling Mario...Luigi though...<3 would be fantastic
who really knows..the inclusion of 2 players is nice though =D

This was announced a long time ago. It has something to do with one person being able to help or interfere with Mario's progress. Announced a little after E3 2006
I remember hearing about it before too but I thought it was just a rumor at the time. If Nintendo is saying this then it's no longer a rumor and is indeed true. I seriously doubt it will be co-op or anything close to that though.

i can't even understand how 1-player works, let alone 2 people at the same time. WAY too much chaos in Mario for me. unless the other person sucks at platformers as much as i do, i'm not so sure on multiplayer
has anyone considered the fact that it'll be MORE than 2-players? they keep saying MULTIplayer, not just 2-player. maybe it'll be a bunch of people jumping around worlds trying to collect coins/stars

Yeah, I saw this a LONG time ago on the Nintendo Wii website, and I'm a little excited, too. I wonder if this will be like Super Mario Bros., where if you die, another person can take over as Luigi?
