I've been at school since late january and haven't had my wii online between then and a few days ago. when I went to update my firmware, it kept freezing. then other features started freezing and it was making an obnoxious beep... yeah. it's working alright for now, but I can't update as it still freezes... any advice? or should I just get off my lazy ass and call nintendo?
Perhaps you should call Nintendo. I've been having a problem trying to connect to the VC shop. First I had a power outage and my Wii went off and I was asleep during this so I didn't know and I didn't play my Wii for the next couple of days. Once I connected again the Everybody Votes channel was screwed up and I can't go the online shop as well. It's been about a week or so for more. Perhaps we both need to call.

Nintendo will do you good with their customer service. They are great.
