I'd rather not. He's got about 1000 responses. He's not reading all of them. But everyone is welcome to answer until April 3rd.
I'll answer:
When I was very young... my grandmother brought home a large device that my mom and dad thought that it was too advanced for my young age. With my tiny hands [5 years of age... or younger i think...I have to recheck] I picked up the Classis NES controller and my imagination went wild. I was a fighter pilot. I fireball throwing plumber. I Hylian knight. Anything I wanted to be... the small grey box fulfilled it. Nintendo opended the doors of my imigination even further. To other people [my parents] it was just a box to distract me.. or to keep me entertained... I saw it as a portal to a new world.
=]
I could go on for days!
I was going to post this but I said meh...anyway.
When I first heard of Nintendo, was when I was 7 and got my first Game Boy color..Pokemon yellow was sooo good..
And then now, Nintendo=Ballin.
Cloud you can never be beaten. You placed this info in my head therefore I posted... which means you posted first.
LOL
GBC? Wow... youre a late bloomer!
how cute
I'm sorry that Im born in 93' Botch.
When I was maybe 4 or 5 my neighbor had an NES and I went over there every day just to play Super Mario Bros. until my parents finally got me one. Nintendo was synonymous with videogames back then. I've owned every single Nintendo console and handheld ever since (except Virtual Boy, if you call that a console), and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I had my first Nintendo experience when I was 2 years old. it was 1989, and I had just figured out how to use the NES controller properly. I kept getting my butt kicked in World Class Track Meet by my older brother. I still loved the system for it's games, though.
17 years later, I've owned every Nintendo console, including getting my past two systems, the Gamecube and Wii, on their respective launch days. i am a true Nintendo fan(boy), and I hope to work either at Nintendo PR, or at Nintendo Power when I graduate college.
OMG thats was my dream as well... to be a Nintendo Rep or even in the Corporate offices.
I'm a VERY late bloomer, when I was 12 I got my first video game, handheld, GBA SP, with, you guessed it, Pokemon FireRed version, WOO HOO!. Then after that I got a GBM, than a DS Lite, and then my friend gave me his used GBC, and then my first console, WII!
What does Nintendo mean to me? When I think Nintendo, the first word that comes to mind is 'fun!' the second is 'adventure' and the third is 'different' or 'revolutional', and the last I word that would ever come to my mind when I think of Nintendo is 'boring'.
Hey, you think they want to come up with a new name or something? Lol, just joking XD.
@ Cloud
HA! I'm older, therefor wiser! I was born in '92!
Well my first time hearing about Nintendo is somewhat like NB Bowler's but a cousin and 2 neighbors of mine had NES and SNES and i would always play them when I went to their houses and I thought wow Donkey Kong! Yoshi's Island! Mario! Mario Kart!. you get the idea. So i just loved these systems. So when the time came for Nintendo 64 to come out i got it immediately for my birthday, or maybe Christmas..but anyway I loved it and had at least 25 games. Ever since that console I have had every Nintendo system except Virtual Boy and DS (sorry guys). I am no a proud Wii owner and overall Nintendo Fan!
I had the NES when it first came out and I thought Mario was the most insane game I had ever seen. I was used to playing Collecovision nad Atari. My friend introduced me to the NES and told me that you played a plumber and used your head to break bricks to find golden coins and had to save the princess from a dragon (Bowser). A long time ago that sounded really ridiculous. The SMB/Duck Hunt combo was the first game I had and the laughing dog gave me my first bit of temper at a video game when I wanted to use a real gun to shoot him!
HA! I'm older, therefor wiser! I was born in '92!
BUT IM A NATURAL BORN TALENT?!
My bro got his first SNES when i was 5 or 6......It was great fun playing Super metroid......Ahh, good times.........

I was born in '92!
Child of the late 80's here. 1987 to be exact.
My first Nintendo console was the N64, the green one that came with DK 64. I don't remember how old I was, I knew it was one of the best Christmas presents ever. DK64 is still to me the best DK game. After N64 I had a GBC, GBA, GBA SP, GCN, now Wii. Coming soon DS Lite....necisito dinero mas
87 as well... i have to remember how old i was with my 1st NES
Hmm... I'm the same age as Cloud...
And...
My cheesy thread-name senses are tingling...
I didn't get the first wave of NES' when they came out. Like I might have mentioned before, my family was kinda poor, so I didn't get an NES until they started releasing it with the SMB+DuckHunt cart. My two older sisters used to stomp my butt at Mario, but I was always better at Duck Hunt, even when I wasn't holding the light gun right up to the TV

... I don't remember exactly how old I was then, but I think it was a year or 2 before the release of the first GameBoy.
EDIT: I guess that would make me 6-8?
