I don't trust buying over the internet... So that limits me T_T
What I really need is a new motherboard, but then I'd also need a new CPU.
A GFX Card is just a nice to have. Actually.. It'd be really nice to be able to place BF 2142 with graphics better then lowest o.O
Whoa, you're still using PCI graphics :/:/:/
I would have thought you would have had at least AGP.
how old IS your computer?
umm.. the last time it got a full upgarde was... 3 years ago? Back then it was near top of the line T_T
do you mean PCI Express graphics?
top of the range 3 years ago?
I have a computer from 2000 with AGP :/:/:/
I said "near" >.> It might be older hen 3... hmm...woah... I don't think I've upgraded in the past 4-5 years actually, most likely 4...
Doesn't matter now. I'm getting a new Motherboard, and I'm sure its going to be PCI-Ex.
On second thought...
*goes and buys a DS*
How did I live without this?!!?
Umm, newegg is one of the most trustworthy places out there to buy things from, and they have THE least expensive things, brand new too. Ask any PC gamer who has built their own PC and they will say newegg.
Sorry for the double post, but it is a necessity for me to post this!!!
I have successfully been able to overclock my X2 3800+, see, the problem was that under options in clockgen, there is a "apply settings at start up", well I had that checked and the system wasn't loading correctly because I was sopposed to do something else in order for the settings to load.
So in all, all i had to do was uncheck that damn box, and boom, everything is stable! 44c and 42c are my temps @ %100 load on both cores once OC'ed to 2.2Ghz, gona try for more!
Man we should really have a Overclocking sticky
that's nothing, I used a softclocker to get my 2.7 Celeron to 3.3
and my 330Mhz 9700 PRO to 420MHz
And it was pretty much stable ^_^
But seriously only have OEM motherboards for work machines, My gaming rig has an ASUS and I couldn't be happier.
