Here's some food for though.  The list is last person to post here wins started by cloud, thereby narrowing the list down to that forum.

Numb3r5 4r3 133T=Numbers are Leet.  Leet is a net language where you replace letters with similar numbers, based off of the word elite.

I is the 9th and u are the 21st.
There are 26 letters in the alphabet. A is the 1st and Z is the 26th.
The two hints up top refer to a Cypher where you substitute numbers for letters, whereas you substitute the number char for the leter, a=1, b=2, c=3...  mostly used in grade school classes

the only part that is throwing me off is the 3+7=10 where 3->7=4
posibly the location clue of a certain topic

so what does this mean, you find the post, use the cypher to change it to numbers, and then use leet to find the hidden msg

Let me explain the hints a bit.

Hint #1 - The first step to solving this is to become the winner by posting somewhere last... (new not old)

This was to point you to the place where the quotes came from.

Hint #2 - All of the people in this list were once on top

This tells you that each quote was on the top of pages in the above mentioned post.

Hint #3 - Numb3r5 4r3 133T

This is pointing to the fact that these numbers equal letters

Hint #4 - I is the 9th and u are the 21st.

This is to show you that the numbers point to the letters by their place in the alphabet.

Hint #5 - 3 + 7 = 10 but the 7 isn't interesting. What is interesting is that you must go 4 spaces to get from 3 to 7.

This one I think confused a lot of people. I wanted to show that the number you must look at is not the number of the page the quote is on but instead the amount of spaces from quote to the next.

BONUS HINT - There are 26 letters in the alphabet. A is the 1st and Z is the 26th.

This was to say that the numbers you get shouldn't be over 26 since there are only 26 letters in the alphabet!

Invisible Bonus: Read between the lines = count between the numbers (page numbers of selected posts) This was in this thread on page 3 and was in white, not sure how many people saw it.

Second Invisible Bonus found on this very page: start by looking at the top of page 23 - This pointed you to the exact page of the first quote!
