A high school percussion band does a medley of songs from Legend of Zelda, Double Dragon, and Mario.
The Double Dragon part is seriously killer.
They are also wearing character costumes. bonus.

This gets me psyched for playing Double Dragon on Virtual Console.
Hopefully we'll see it soon.
(Like how I related it to the forum topic, huh?)
I really didn't know where else to post this anyhow...

Kotaku - High School percusion band does NES music
Have you ever heard of the Minibosses?
Yeah I saw this as well, totally impressed.
Holy shmackababoon!

That was uber cool.
i wish my school had people who would do that.
I could suggest it to my college's band director, but I doubt he'd let his band students play something like that. I would, though.

No, do they cover game music?

Do you know The Advantage? They are a math rock band that covers video game music, and more than just the most well-known stuff. (think Minus the Bear or Trey Anastasio playing nintendo sounds)
They do that NES/SNES-era dueling guitar sound heard in Konami and Capcom games like Castlevania and Mega Man really well. It's fun to just throw their CD on and have you and your friends try to guess what they're playing.

Here's their website: http://www.theadvantageband.com/
They've got a bunch of mp3s and video clips on there.
You can also find their newer album on iTunes.
