generaly im not that keen on it tbh, it seems that films that have been made in to games dont seem to do that well. with the acception of spider-man and xmen series. they all seem a bit rushed to me.

Usually gaming/movie studios want to make a quick buck on these types of games. That's why most of them aren't very good.

Like we mentioned in our last preview, the game visits many of the film's locations and, not surprisingly, animated cut-scenes reenact pivotal moments in the movies. Unfortunately, the main trio isn't voiced by the original actors (though some of the supporting cast is), but the sound-alikes are convincing. And while the Wii version of the game doesn't sport the same 1080p support and graphics that the 360 version does, it allows players to go back to any finished level and replay it with another character from the game (minus the cut-scenes).

Not original voice acting ftl. I hate it when games don't do that.

Sometimes it's the actors fault because it's all about money for doing those kind of things.

IGN Review 6.5/10
Quote:
Pirates of the Caribbean may not be the most original or fine-tuned title out there for PS2 or Wii, but as a licensed pairing with the third movie the game still serves its purpose, as the design combines the age-old art of action titles with the music, presentation, and characters of Pirates of the Caribbean. At no time during our adventure we’re our minds collectively blown, but there were certainly high points during the game, making it worthy for a rental or used purchase. Both the Wii and PS2 versions are essentially the same, with Wii looking a little better and PS2 implementing button control over an often-basic – but marginally entertaining – motion control system. If you’re a fan of the movies, you’ll dig playing the game. Just be sure to check your brain at the door, as it makes solid use of an existing action template, but innovates very little in the process.
