*sigh*
You people are taking this too far. Stop for a minute, take a deep breath, and thin about what you're saying. When did this become an ignorance and race issue and a Canada vs. USA thing? The original focus of the topic had nothing to do with that. I think it's already been established that Canadians are only viewed as Americans by those outside of the US and Canada. So why did you have to get into this big dispute?

You don't know what it's like to be a Canadian and can't know what our point of view is. Which is why we are telling you.

We are not AMERICAIN. That's all I feel that I have to say as I have already proved my point.

What IS it like to be Canadian? You are obviously implying that there is something extremely special that only Canadians can understand for some odd reason that you apparently can't explain.

The first time I saw that on Family Guy I laughed. I don't see why some people take offense to it when the comment is made purely in jest. You could replace Canada with any other country there and it wouldn't change much.

No, it is the fact that almost everyone here has agreed that Canadians should either be called Canadian, or North American, except for you. The fact that you are reusing logic that I and others have already proved flawed is why alex has called you ignorant.

Listen, we have come halfway with the term North American, but you obstinatly refuse to meet us. North American is the general term for people who live in North America. Canadian and American is the general term for people who live in Canada and the USA respectively. That's the end of the argument.

That's not what I'm trying to get across to you. But yes we are special, just like an Americain is special and a Chinese person, Japanese, British, Egyptian, Russian, and every other type. We all have different views and I can't say what any of there views are since I'm not of there nationality.

But I definetely no what it's like to be Canadian.

If we keep posting at this rate we're going to pass LTPHW by this time tomorow.
sigh... I thought this was a discussion...

Just write your opinion, state the reason for your views, and leave it at that. It's not like you have to convert everyone to what you believe. What does it matter what somebody else thinks of your opinion? Do you always have to be right? You can discuss why you think the opposite persons reasons are false, you don't have to prove him wrong, nobody has the right to make somebody else think like them, you can try and make them realize they're faults, but if they don't, and perhaps you are wrong, you shouldn't take it personally.

And if this gets even more out of hand then it already is, I hope you'll know when to lock this...

Exactly, its things like that clip that people on this thread need to to just laugh at and not takes this whole debate so seriously. I would probably laugh my self if it said America instead of Canada.

It started getting out of hand when you accused me of being racist. Stereotyping, perhaps, but usually stereotypes are true, considering its pointing out the majority

I was just about to say the same thing.

Ok, I apologise for that, It was a stereotype, not a racist remark.
My bad, friends? Smile

Now I think we can make this a more friendly thread.

First Mistake you took it from Wikipedia.

Second mistake, it says SOMETIMES. Which means not a lot. It's vary rare.

And I said usually, not always.

I guess I should have said 'occasionally' instead of usually, my bad

and I feel like you guys are thinking that I have a hatred toward Canada or something... well just so you know, i dont 0_o
*Hides under a table*
*Jumps to the other wall trying not to get flamed*

I am Canadian, And we are NOT considered American, by any means. We are in North America, yes. but were no way American, Unless everyone was born in America that's when Canada would be considered American.

Exactly how it is to be American, there's almost no Difference, except the obvious ones like teams, places, but we get the same things,

In NO way, is America Better than Canada,And In no way is Canada better than America, Also

End of Discussion

You know where wikipedia gets its info right?
Hardly a valid source.

And besides, just because it "sometimes" is accurate, doesn't mean its right to think so about people.

AH HAHA

I'm sorry, I can't post in this thread anymore. When I read that I think my brain shrivelled up and fell out my ear.

Anywho, you all know my stance on the subject, and I'm glad so many agree with me. I'm sorry if I came across a mite bad in a few posts, but sometimes that happens. I apologize if I offended anyone.

Now, on to other, greater things!
