I ordered a Wii skin the week before last and just got around to actually putting it on. I'm very disappointed. Everything looks the same as it did in the picture, but apparently when they printed off my skin, the tool used to clearly cut out every little piece and the opening that I'd have to punch out for such things as the DVD slot and all the buttons was not cut properly, so I had to use a utility knife to re cut all the openings myself.
As you can imagine this has made me very upset, and I've emailed the company to see what they can do to remedy this situation for me.
Wow, that sucks. I was thinking about ordering from that site, too. Now I think I'll wait to hear what their response is to your email...
Good idea, I'll post the email once I get one, which who knows, might be tomorrow or sometime early next week.
I was considering getting a skin, but hearing this has discouraged me. Plus I'm loving the look of the sexy shiny mod.
They do have some nice looking skins on there though. So I hoping it was just a fluke that yours was cut wrong.
Yeah, they've been around a while. Perhaps just you got a bad one but curious to what the reply to your email is. Let us know.
I don't know why I would be sent a skin like that, but I really hope they make good with me. I think the whole idea is great, but what happened to me is just unacceptable. I'll keep everyone posted.
That sucks. I want to know what they say.
Never happened to me.
I call human error on this one.
That sucks. Hopefully they will give you a refund.
Or at least replace it. I wonder what they'll say. o.O
Never happened to me.
I call human error on this one.
If by human error your saying I did something wrong...You could have taken the "skin" off it's base and see that there were no cut out points. So I doubt if you'd be able to work your magic on that.
If by human error you mean that someone at the company goofed on this particular skin...then that's a good possibility, and I'll have to see how they remedy it.
skins on consoles or portables are tacky.
Well then I'm guessing you have two

kidding of course.
As for the comment about it may have been a person's issue at the company...I'm guessing that these skins are printed out with the little "punches" already out....so the problem is probably a printer malfunction.
It's only a skin. I mean, really.
And by human error, I mean you did something wrong. When I got my DS Lite skin, it didn't really work out well, but I was able to adjust it. Simple fix.
See Dume, I see it like this. I payed $14.99 plus shipping for the thing, and it wasn't even cut out. I don't normally go around throwing 20 bucks in the trash, so I don't think it's reasonable to think I'd just let this one pass without contacting the company

Thats the same thing I would do if I were you. Also thnx for sharing this story of yours, I was planning on getting the NES skin for the remote.

And I'm afraid that's on your own dime. (No pun intended.)
And what do you expect the company to do? Send you a new one? Give you your money back? The most that I see them doing is say "Sorry, we'll look into what happened and it won't happen again. Thanks for your feedback."?
I would be ticked off too if i got a 'malfunctioned' product. You are acting like its GFT's fault that he got a crappy product. He deserves to get a refund.
That or a new skin for free.
