After some rumor and speculation NGamer magazine has all but confirmed that Guitar Hero will find it's way to the Nintendo Wii some day. Now I know what you're thinking. Didn't you already confirm this before? I guess I did get a little ahead of myself and should've better worded that title but what's done is done, and consider this as my making up for it.

According to the May issue of NGamer "Guitar Hero is on its way to Wii (and) it comes with a guitar-shaped controller." I don't know where NGamer got it's information and there's not really a source given anywhere. This is why I'm hold back on saying that the game's been confirmed because I don't want to get your hopes up, only to tomorow find that Activision has issued a statement denying the existance of Guitar Hero project for Wii.

So don't get too excited yet (though I know that won't stop many of you) but things are looking pretty good. We'll keep you posted on and updates.

Good sign. We'll see what the creators of GH say to it. That is of course if they make a statement... which companies usually don't lol.

I may finally get the chance to play Guitar Hero yet! I hope it's true.

I agree with Mana! I have never played it and I want to really badly.

Rock on. I've played it on PS2 and it really is a lot of fun.

If we see some Nintendo specific songs.. you can bet that we'll be playing Mario Underground on the bass... which on a real bass is actually pretty tough b/c of the timing.

Well it'll be primarily non-nin songs. but a couple thrown in is a good posibility.

Although come to think of it they will have to be expanded versions of theme songs, considering their repetitiveness and lack of existing solos or anything beyond the basic melody and variation thereof..

Don't worry there's no way they could fill the entire game with just nintendo themes.

I'm really interested in what the guitar shape controller will look like and if it will be an add-o for the Wiimote.

This is going to be sweet, and i will definately buy this game when it comes out. I love Guitar Hero 2 on PS2.

I want to play some Nintendo Classics on guitar.

I hope its not just a port of guitar hero 2. And if they do, i hope they put some extra songs on there like the 360 version.

Seems like it will be original. If it was going to be a port I think we would've heard about it by now.

I don't own a PS2 or Xbox360, but that doesn't stop me from playing Guitar Hero in Best Buy and Walmart. It's a fun game, Sakura. It's like DDR, except instead of your feet, you're using your fingers to push down buttons on a guitar you hold in your hands. Turns up your reflexes for sliding on a guitar.

I love the game but it can't come even close to how jamming on a real guitar feels like! lol

is it going to be the same as gh 2 or will it be gh3
