I think Q3
That would be logical because of Halo 3 coming out around then

I feel like all the big Nintendo games are going to come out around that time.

It would take all three Nintendo big guns to match Halo 3 by the looks of it.
04-16-2007, 09:08 PM
They could release it near the Halo Launch, but it would be cool if Halo, And Metroid Prime 3 came out on the same day.
04-17-2007, 04:17 AM
did they give an exact release date of Halo 3
04-17-2007, 04:29 AM
No, I think they just said sometime in the Fall of 2007 but dates are always changing.
04-17-2007, 06:21 AM
I don't think any companies want to pinpoint release dates too fast.
04-17-2007, 07:40 AM
Exactly. However, if they were to launch Brawl alongside Halo 3, whoa Nelly! That would be a release of epic proportions, of nerds clamoring to buy either a 360 or Wii, just to have the must-have game of the year.

Halo 3 is going to be freakin huge. I love SSB series way more but can't deny that fact. I think LMX is right. It's gonna take a lot from Nintendo to go up against that. I just hope they don't shoot themselves in the foot by releasing all the big games too close together and making them their own competition.

I could care less for Halo 3. But its fanboys will think differently.

Sony Pinpointed the PS3 At E3 :3
but I think Halo would sell better than SSBB, In the Beginning, but in the long run no.

I'd be extremely surprised if SSBB, Metroid, and Mario Galaxy all dropped before the end of '07. Now of those 3, which are the most likely to be closest to completion? I say Metroid and Mario (although Smash Bros doesn't have to fine-tune motion controls). That'd push SSBB into '08, just a guess though.
04-20-2007, 10:41 AM
Its possible. But why? They have said that these games will be out in 07? I know Nintendo are infamous for delays though.
Metroid was ready for launch but was delayed for fine-tuning (which I think meant online + control fixes) which means that could come out. I presume Galaxy is coming along fine since Reggie seemed confident in saying it'd be out by the end of the year. And Smash is so tightly wrapped up that we don't know what to expect. I have faith in Sakurai and his team though and I think they are deeper in development than they are letting everyone on to know.

Nintendo is business savy. Releasing 3 games for the holiday season (unless they have stuff coming over that horizon) wouldn't make much business sense. One of the games could get lost in the shuffle, and they'd definitely be competing against eachother (how many kids will get 3 games for christmas and none of them will be on other systems?). I could see a September-Nov.-March release schedule. If they can get Prime or Smash ready by early/mid summer, perhaps they could go Jun-July, Sept, Nov., but even this is pushing it. I'll lay money down that 1 gets pushed to at the earliest Q1 '08. Plus it's not like they need to generate buzz to sell the consoles.
They better have other stuff in the works, cause otherwise it might be a drab '08 (barring solid 3rd party support). Although it could be a good year for sports titles... Mario Golf/Tennis, EA's line-up, etc.

That's logical, but I believe Nintendo will release the big three within months of each other and none will be delayed into 08. For 08 Nintendo has other franchises that could be in development, more Mario Sports, Mario Kart, Star Fox, Donkey Kong, Kirby, and more.

You do make a good point.
But, I think Mario Kart will be released this year.
Brawl in July/too sept.

Mario Kart will not be released this year because Nintendo already has big titles lined up for this year including SSBB. It might get revealed at E For All though.
04-20-2007, 05:32 PM
But arent like different studios doing these games? Different Producers/Directors? Then it wouldnt be to hard to get them all out in the year. Or at least Early/Late January.
04-20-2007, 05:50 PM
Trust me, Mario Kart will come out later, probably next year and SSBB will come out late this year.
