I added two people who added me first but it tells me I have no Wii Friends still but their in my list, do I have to set my Wii up further? and if so how do I do that?
If you've added them then whether or not they added you, you should still see them but they will be grayed out. Is it that you see them as grayed out or you don't see them at all?
Also it takes a few hours sometimes. sometimes minutes though
They have to add you as well, and then the Wii has to update. It can take a few hours sometimes, as they have said above me.

Another question, can Wii's play music at all? Like on a CD or off my SD?
The wii can play music or mp3s from your SD card. You must go into the photo channel and start a slideshow and then change the settings in the slide show to your own MP3s from the SD card.
As for the contacts in your list that are grayed out. This means that either a) they haven't added you yet
or
b) you'll have to give it some more time (if it's been a long time already then check to make sure you put in the right code as did they)

you'd have to plug the SD card into a computer and put the music onto the card through the computer.
if your computer doesn't have an SD slot, you can buy a simple adaptor that plugs into a USB port
or if you're camera connects to the computer put songs on that way
