I've recently been thinking about buying a nintendo DS can I get some replys on good features about DS, and games that I should consider getting.
Thanks.
get a DS, a flash card, and a RAM card depending on the flash card you get. however much you spend on these three items, will definitely be a lot less than buying a DS and 5 games.
so what im saying is: buy one. then soft-mod it and you will be able to play every and any game you want. an included bonus is that you will now be able to watch and listen to videos and music on your DS.
How am I meant to convince you to get a DS?
What sort of stuff do you look for in a handheld? Because the DS is likely to feature alot of it.
it's hard to explain
why you should get a DS, but you should. there are many great games on the system. Metroid Prime Hunters is a fun FPS with multiplayer. Elite Beat Agents is an AWESOME rythm title. Final Fantasy III for a great RPG. Children of Mana for Action/RPG. Trauma Center and Phoenix Wright for some kinda quirky but great gaming. Mario Kart and Diddy Kong Racing for, well, racing games. a Harvest Moon game (not for all, but a must-have for Charmander

). the two Castlevania titles are great. and those are just the DS. many, many more for the GBA (5 other Final Fantasy games is a good start) and as Greaser mentioned, getting the media pack with an SD card makes it into a portable entertainment system to play movies, music, homebrew games and you can still play your DS and GBA games
Harvest moon?!?! Where?
I didn't buy it though. I need some reviews on it before I buy. Is it better then FoMT? If not, not interested.
FF3 makes an excellent first game. As long as you don't have a little brother who hogs it. *Shakes fist* Although it is a bit expensive. And You'd definatly need an online game. Like Mario Kart or DKR.
And don't forget Pokemon!!!!
yea i decided to get one. mostly cause i wanna see how phantom hourglass turns out, and metroid hunters and stuff. dont think ill be getting pokemon cause im not 7.

You bought it didn't you? Just tell him to GTFO and buy his own.
you should try to play both the original and a lite before you buy anything. I know i might take some flak for this, but i cant stand the DS lite, it makes my hand cramp. that is something you should look at b4 you spend the money.
if you have a lot of freinds with a ds, get diamond/ pearl. the picto chat with your freinds should hold you out until 4/22 when d/ p release. if you have wi-fi get metroid, an action replay, and a rumble pack. complete the single player and get some practice against bots in some of the different arenas b4 going online and wait until you're at least a 3* b4 using th ar online. if you are all alone then get FFIII and/ or new super mario bros to tide you over until phantom hourglass comes out. if none of those trips your trigger than you could rent games for a while until something interesting comes out, although you'll likely be waiting for a while if you're standards are that high. all that aside, you should still get a ds whether you like the games or not (how couldn't you?) because the thing is sweet, especially the black lite with MP: hunters or pokemon from what i've seen.

nah think ill just get a lite. i work at futursehop and lites sell out alot faster than the original ds' which just sit around collecting dust.

late this year. i believe GameStop has it listed as November. i'm trying desperately to get a job there again so i can start my reviews again. as it stands your choices are pretty good. i'd also recommend Trauma Center, Phoenix Wright: Attorney at Law and Children of Mana
dont think ill be getting pokemon cause im not 7.
*Glares*
he's right. there are quite a few Pokemon players round here that are over 18

lol well thats just my opinion, and probably cuase i dont know anyone personally that still plays pokemon thats around my age.
Then how many people do you know that are Nintendo gamers? Or at least real ones, sheesh.
I know about 4 or 5 people in my AREA getting the game.
Pokemon is ftw!
People who believe its for people aged 7 and under should go play PS3.
theres nothing wrong with ps3. the graphics are amazing, but id still take wii over it anyday.
Did I say there was anything wrong with it? I was generalising like you, people who see Pokemon as a "kiddie" game are usually to busy with their GTA's to see how awesome it is.

no it just is a fact that pokemon is meant for a younger audience. i just grew out of the fad after i sold all my pokeman cards and beat the gameboy game when i was like 10.
anyways getting a little off topic seeing how this thread was about me getting info on the goods for DS.

People who say Pokemon is for kids make me mad! *throws tantrum*
But seriously. The game(s) are not just for kids. I just turned 28, and I'm a poke-fan.
And who says people in your area have to get it? (Pokemon)
WiFi people, WiFi.
ITs gonna be the best game on the DS.
