this is supposed to be a thread about realistic possibilities for the 3rd installment of the Diamond/Pearl generation of Pokemon. this is not for the next generation and is definitely not for new types. anyways, when do you think we'll get this Game. Emerald came out two years after Ruby/Sapphire. idk about you guys but 2009 is a long wait.

I think you meant a little to close for 2008, I would expect about 2 years also.
actually they can use Jade version (green stone).
That would make a lot of sense, because not only is jade a priceless gem, but along with Diamond, Jade was the other unnofficial bootleg game. (if you want more information, just type Pokemon Jade in Wikipedia or Google or something).
But Giratina has no gems on it though, or at least none that can see clearly.

Giratina would be the pokemon on the cover. I just can't think of a Gem to us for the title.
maybe the game wont be named after a gem.
Doesn't necessarily need to have a gem on it. Or they could make it one that you can't always see >.>
Anyway, its Nintendo's decision, I don't think people will care to much if they pick a gem when this Giratina thing doesn't have one.
Giratina isn't a thing, it's a legendary pokemon similar to Dialga and Palkia. It has the unique type combo of Ghost/Dragon and it's the first pokemon to weak against both of it's own types.

it doesnt really matter what they name it, as long as the game is good and not just the same as Diamond/Pearl with minor story plot changes and a different pokemon on the cover.
For the third game, the ability to rechallenge gym leaders needs to be brought back.
yea i missed that in from Emerald, wasnt sure if it was in Ruby/Sapphire. they brought back the Vs. Seeker but its not as good as what they had in emerald.
That feature wasn't in Ruby/Sapphire neither was the battle frontier. Those were two things that made Emerald special.
