What does Zinc have to do with Grantia? Which is Ghost I think.
too many flying types... but when you just dealing with the first 150 you cant be picky.
It will be Giratina because they usually legendary Pokémon that already in the previous versions. Manaphy wouldn't count. And Lucario is not a legendary Pokémon.
i agree i would most likely be Girantia, but you cant rule out PKMN that arent legendary. the first two games had the Fully evolved starters. as well as PKMN LG/FR
I just dont feel that Grantina, has what it needs to be on the Front of the game, then have the whole game based on it.
Though you receive Darkrai at a nintendo event, I feel that that could go on the cover as well.
Other ideas: My decision still stands with Lucario because it has been had the spotlight on it since "POKeMON: Mystery Dungeon" and "Lucario and the Mystery of Mew."
@ Brawler if that was the case then one of the starters will go on the cover. And just because Lucario has had the most exposure doesn't mean it'll be on the cover of the third game. Giratina is most likely.
Lucario looks like this and it has a pre-evolved form too look in the D/P official thread to see that.

@ W_R: what cloud said about Girantia being the central piece of the game. with that point stated, lucario wouold be better.
I still don't think there's anything special about it for it to be on the cover other than it's unique type combo. But Giratina has a unique type combo as well.
idk, darkrai is still a possibility regardless of it being an event PKMN, its possible that having that version would allow you to obtain Darkrai easier. just as in Crystal version, you could obtain Suicune easier and yo didnt have to chase it.
But Suicune was already in the game, even though they made it easier o catch it. By that logic Mesprit or Cresselia should be on the cover of the third game.
i'm saying put pokemon that are run catch on the cover, i was saying that PKMN on the cover can have an alternate method of obtaining it.

They introduced a new story involving Rayquaza and you could catch Groudon and Kyogre in a different way. With Giratina they could do a story on how it's related to Dialga & Palkia.

I now think that too, because theres a movie coming out, with Giratina on it with Dragli or something and Palkia.
