The Godfather: Blackhand Edition!

Rated -- Mature
Released -- March 20th, 2007

If i were the godfather and i told you to go put a horses head in a bed, would you do it? Now you can with The Godfather: Blackhand Edition. The game is chuck full of violence, swearing and good old gang'ster buisness!

If you ever wanted to smack someone against a brick wall, head shot a store owner or just crash a car around you can with the games new Wii controls.

So if your ready, lets get the job done.

Here is Mark Bozons take on the game from IGN

Mark Bozon Wrote:
The Godfather: Blackhand Edition isn’t a perfect game – not by a long shot. The title suffers from the same technical limitations as any other GTA clone out there (pop-in and sketchy AI certainly rings a bell), and the preconceived notion of "Yet another GTA game" may take away from the product's more impressive points for some gamers, and that’s a shame. When it all boils down, though, The Godfather is a great first step on Wii, as it uses more than 25 gestures, IR aiming, and has a ton of features above the original game in the form of new items, missions, gameplay modes (favors and blackmailing specifically), and RPG elements. More important than any list of numbers and features though, is the fact that The Godfather is just fun to play. It’s fun to beat the tar out of store owners with the Wii remote. It’s fun to throw guys through windows and off ledges with actual shoving motions. Hell it’s even kind of fun to honk a car’s horn by pushing forward on the nunchuk. The game has its flaws, it isn’t perfect, but it has more options, features, and depth that the previous versions, and it’s simply a fun game to play

You begin as your avatar's father who is brutally killed in an alley in 1930's New York. Don Corleone promises your day will come to avenge the death of your father once you are grown. 9 years come to pass and your mother asks The Don that he takes you under his wing. Luca Brasi seeks you out and you begin in the world of the Mafia as an underling taking over rackets and working your way through the ranks of 1946 Little Italy

So lets Cheak out the game at its very best!

That is pretty gangster if ya ask me!

The godfather is a Grand Theft Auto type style game. So if you got a GTA itch, this would be your back scratcher!

(sorry this is late. Had alot of stuff going on!)

I'm working on it!! I'm at Uni for about 3 or 4 more hours then I'll be home and will get myself in the review zone.

But I'll say now that I loved Godfather, mostly because of the controls.
Did I miss a pun or is that a typo? Blackhand?
Ya, I was just about to say something...

Title needs to be changed. 'Backhand' Needs to say 'Blackhand.'

This game is the smex in terms of current ports.

Nearly up there with Spiderman 2 in movie licensed games as well.
Question...has anyone who actually owns the Xbox version played this Wii version? If so how does it compare? I have the Xbox version and really loved it, but I'm torn whether on not I wanna spend $49.99 on the BlackHand Edition for the Wii.
Come on people Smile Someone had to have had a different version of this game and played this one so that they can compare them...please
I bought this game today and this is what I have to say about it.

1. The graphics are better then the Xbox version.
2. Load times seem to be faster.
3. There are a ton of new and better cars to drive.
4. Punching and pushing is SOOOO amazing with the Wii mote.
5. Using your gun is great. Think Red Steel, but much better.

I think anyone who has played this game for the last Gen system will really enjoy this game. I realize Xbox 360 and Ps3 versions have better graphics, but I doubt if they can touch how NEW this game feels with the motion controls.
I won this game through a review comp on IGN, still waiting for it in the mail, hopefully it's good...
