electric is strong to Dragonite? but dragon type is strong to like every element and only weak to ice and something else that isn't a very popular type. i remember having a hell of a time trying to beat Dragonite in the final 4 if my Articuno was down'd

It's still part flying which means electric weakens it as well as dragon. Other than that there are no other weaknesses, Kingdra on the other hand only has a weakness of dragon. I tried using electric and grass attacks against it and it was not super effective and since it's half water ice won't work either.

i never understood the half types. according to the book, if both types are weak then the attack does 4X damage, and if half is strong and half is weak then it balances out. both are total lies >_<
That is true with Kingdra as an exception for some reason. The new Ghost/Dragon legendary is the first pokemon to be weak against both it's types .
holy crap! O_O dragon/ghost? that's so sweet. that'll be both types won't it? what's the diff between the 2 on the covers?
Yes. Dialga is Steel/Dragon and Palkia is Water/Dragon so it's like Kingdra. Giratina will more than likely be on the cover of the third game.
pfft... Umm.. remember I can change what pokemon is fighting. Not like I'd let you use its weaknesses against them.
And From What I've gone up against, there is nothing my Alakazam can't handle, except dragon types, which then my Dragonite dukes it out.
I beat the elite 4 including Gary with just my lvl 70 Alakazam. Psycic + Recover, works every time. I even finish with full health Smile
Of course, a little luck must play when I'm versing those darn Dragonites.

You would never know if I have a type that knows a move that is a weakness until I use it.

Either Giratina or Arseus i think.

i hate constantly switching pokemon. all you accomplish is slowly knocking off a bit of damage each turn as you take turns swapping pokemon.

fire vs. water -> fire out to grass
grass vs. water -> water out to fire
grass vs. fire -> grass out to water
water vs. fire -> fire out to grass
water vs. grass -> water out to fire
fire vs. grass -> grass out to water

back at the beginning. woo hoo
Oh, I usually don't switch. Unless I know its hopeless.
Like I said, My Alakazam beats all. There aren't many moves that deal more then half health in damage to my Ala, so he just recovers and gets full health again. Repeat untill they run out off PP for those strong attacks.
Recover has a lot of PP :0
Excpecially when you maxed it out with PP ups Smile
There are now stronger Bug, Dark and ghost moves to beat Alakazam

No, it will be Giratina because it's part Dragon like the other two. Arseus is originally normal

That's why you teach normal pokemon certain moves because normal pokemon can learn any move as long as their body can perfrom them.

and Dialga is on diamond while Palkia is on pearl right?

Right, that is correct.
Alakazam lvl 71
Attk 117 Psybeam PP 20
Def 104 Psychic pp 12
Speed 226 Recover pp 20
Spc 245 Flash (I wasted a spot :'( ) pp 20

Dragonite lvl 60
Attk 194 Wrap PP 20
Def 153 Slam pp 20
Speed 131 Hyper Beam pp 5
Spc 164 Dragon Rage pp 10

These are my Red version ones, A.K.A. Weak ones
My silver version got wiped, its broken and wont save anymore. :'(
I only have a lvl 3o something Hauter, no Gengar.

As you can see, these ones aren't maxed with pp ups.
Although I believe my Alakazam is maxed out in Carbos, Calcium, Iron, and the like...

Lol.. I love and hate wrap at the same time. My combo for when he was still a dragonair was: Thunder Wave then Wrap, over and over, since he alway gets the first move.
Annoyingly stupid, no?
grrr. you're one of THOSE fighters >_<

are you following my Pokemon games? i went from red to silver, now going to diamond...
<.<

spooky

Dialga doesn't look like a steel or dragon type. Palkia looks more like the steel/dragon. Dialga looks like a dark
But I hated that combo so much I stopped. It's really effective. But it takes so long to kill something!
i've completely forgotten my movesets. i always just went in guns a'blazing as it were. pick out the targets weakness and completely obliterate it. i didn't really have a problem with my pokemon missing with the uber moves like blizzard and thunder, except when i actually played someone. then i'd miss every time Sad
Yea, I hate when that happens. I'm more offensive then defense though. In PBR Dialga does, it does have some dragon traits. Palkia does look like water type because it has gill like things. and Char my Dragonite in Silver is lvl 80 and only has way better moves than that. I have a lvl 80 Alakazam in Sapphire as well and the moves are similar except flash.
ruh roh. i smell a battle brewin'

can i watch? Big Grin
I would like to battle Char, if only I had a DS. I could port my Alakazam from Emerald because it knows Metronome and it's lvl 75.
