I doubt we'll be able to port pokemon from other versions. since the DS's availability with GBA games is single player only.

So, I've givin up on training my Haunter in Red. When I get Diamond Im going to train like no other. School is no longer a priority! I must learn all I can on these new pokemon... I'm so behind.. I must find the stongest, coolest looking pokemon... and nickname them all "Charmander" or "Mew"... Just to throw people off. >=)

I'm getting Fire Red and Sapphire when I get Diamond.

So I hope to have those starters in Diamond as soon as I reach a Pokemon Centre, that is presuming we can trade between games which will suck if we can't lol. Which I bet we can't.

I seriously doubt we'll be able to trade. Its DS. Not Gameboy anymore.
Think of this as Red/Blue. What you get is all you have.
Only, its not as cool.. because its not the begining of the domination of pokemon in handhelds.. or maybe it is o.O

in d/p you can transfer your gba pokemans to your ds by means already revealed. to transfer pokemon you simply chose a party of six on your gba version, save the game, go to d/p and travel to the pal park, catch all the pokemans you chose on the gba version, wait 24 hours, repeat. piece of stinking cake. oh, and before starting up d/p you must insert the gba version into slot 2 on the ds.

There we go, I thought there'd be a way. Though I wasn't 100% it was in the Park place. Huzzah!

You would probably have to get the national pokedex first before any porting.

Abra and Ghastly and common in D/P and Dratini is rare but it's there.

i wont until i transfer the Manaphy egg to my Diamond and hatch, then after that i can get phione by breeding manaphy with ditto.
