Now that we know the starting Pokémon for Diamond and Pearl, which one of the choices above is going to be your starter and why?

I'm getting Chimchar because

1)He's a monkey
2) He's a fire-type. I love the fire-type pokemon

Well Piplup cuz i usually always get the water type Pokemon in all the versions. I would say i won't be getting it but ill be playing it on my friends DS.

I always start with a fire breed, but after how much blaziken sucked, i think Ill go with water this time.

Same, I think I will go with water, all of the pokemon look wierd, I dont want a monkey, I dont want a Penguin, but water is ftw.. I never saw the grass one.

Just saw a pic, and now I dont really want either of them, there going to much for that "Cute" look.

Ya i agree with you there Cloud. They have made to many of the new Pokemon look cute. Hey this gives me of an idea for a thread....ok well its up now so give your answer on it if you want.

Water is FTW. Of course they look cute, but when they evolve the cuteness is gone.

The same goes for the 2nd and 3rd generation of starters, expect this one because they're still kinda cute in their 2nd forms, but it's all gone in their 3rd forms.

well Infernape and Emperuto are cool looking but Torterra is just stupid.

Torterra is an Earth turtle and Continent Pokémon, so it looks good for what it's supposed to be, although that's not saying much <.<

Typhlostion is still better than all, except the first Generation.

Best Water: BLASTOISE! Feraligatr
Best Fire: Typhlosion, Then Charizard
Best Grass: Sceptile, Venusaur looks to lazy, and I dont care for Belinoams?!

Going by type I actually prefer Torterra for grass because Secptile an Vensaur both look rough and Maganium looks girly. All the fire are about the same for me except Blaziken because it doesn't appear as tough. And water I choose Blastoise and Enperuto because Feraligator and Swapert don't look intimidating they're kinds freaks of natures compared to the other two.
