With the sure announcement coming soon of the 'ELITE', speculation is still being raised that the 120GB add-on HDD will be made available to those of us who will not be shelling out another $400 some dollars for the system.
My question, will I be purchasing a black HDD to add on to my 'white' premium system, or will they be making 'white' HDD as well?
Personally, I hope they make them in 'white', I don't want to have a goofy looking black HDD connected to my 360 in my game rack, it would just throw the whole look of the thing off.
Um... All the HDD's are the same color, dude.
there's nothing white on the 20GB HDD.

Isn't it chrome on the white 360? I would imagine it will be the same on the black one, and separately.
Just as long as the damn thing looks the same as my 20GB does now, I'll be okay. If not, I have no real need to buy it.
Huh, well I think Microsoft is falling victim to add ons, or they just want to catch up to Sony on the whole HDD thing.
If they want to catch up to Sony though, they should jack up their graphics just a liiitle bit from 1080i to p.
Some guy that works in the factory that is producing the Elites took pictures of them using his cell phone, and the 120GB HDD looks the same as the 20 GB
i'm pretty sure the 360 can do 1080p if you got the firmware update a they did a while back (not to mention 90+% of hdtvs in the us are 1365x768 or less anyways. just because ur tv says it can accept a 1080 signal doesnt mean it will display one)...
this is just another thing that boosts m softs ego. i still think that just because sony has some issues with price and copying doesn't mean it's worthless. the home thing is just another "mii too", but it's frickin sweet (i've always wanted to create my own virtual appartment and showcase all my "videos" on virtual screens, stack coffee tables and lawn chairs to make a mini-eiffel tower, and invite my freinds to see my total lack of gaming accomplishment!!!), the ps3 has enough processing power to levitate a dozen dozen barj dubai over its shiny spiderman-font-named ass, nearly 2x more hdd space than my crappy ibook g4 i use for school, a blu-ray drive so i can get 25 full gigs of game instead of 8.5 compressed gigs of game/ i can play back hd movies whenever i want instead of waiting hours on ond to download movies for 1 short day, and i don't need to shell out $60/year (ok, 13 months to anyone about to complain) on ad-infested xbl that i can't access through my wireless router. the ps3 may be one hell of a blow to your wallet, but the 360 is an even bigger one after no time flat and
hmmm when did this become a bash 360/praise ps3 thread?
I know that all the Xbox 360 hard drives are expensive when purchased seperate, but has anyone ever explained why they are so much?
To punish you for not buying the premium bundle.

Yeah, but one thing.
Gears > the entire PS3 Games Librairy.

it's what all the halo kiddies are playing while they wait for H3. SP co-op was fun. MP is good for like a 30 min. session. every map is the same and the game modes arent varied. i only played the new maps once and i never put the game back into my 360. this game sells systems, but i still think it's overhyped.

that's pretty cool. it's a sneaky way to get non-live users to try out XBLA and maybe convert them to subscribers.
