Yes, I know, people have pointed out that in the first trailer at the end when Mario is shot by Link's arrow, they think that Mario wavelands. Well, I took the liberty of slowing down this part of the trailer and looking at it frame-by-frame, and honestly, I don't see how this isn't a waveland.

Take a look for yourself: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=...4201692098

If this is indeed a waveland, that would mean that, at it's current stage, wavelanding (and by extension wavedashing) is in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
:3

*has high hopes*
If wavelanding is there I think it's safe to assume WD's are making a return.
Precisely. Of course, that *may* have been just a slide. But still, it resembled a Waveland and if Wavelands are there then logically the Wavedash would have to. But that was the first trailer so who knows whats changed in the game since then.
If you're even able to slide I think you can WD. <_<

But you do raise a good point in it being the 1st trailer. Although, the second trailer used quite a bit of advanced techs as well.
That I also noticed, could it be Sakurai and the team acknowledge the so-called "glitches" (as they are called by Smashers who choose to be close minded) are useful?
Maybe... or no one imformed Sakurai that they existed. =P
Haha, that works to. The better the chances of it staying makes me happier.
could it be possible that they even assigned a button for wavedashing?
I wouldn't go that far, as there isn't really a button option that would make sense.
i was just wondering, cause maybe they are like make it more known and easier for some ppl.
I saw something like that but in the other trailer, it was mario still but it looked like a full wavedash.
Making WD easier would take away from the reward for learning how to do it.

So you mean days of practice is supposed to be fun!?

Its called getting better. Why should Advanced Smashers have had to put in months of training to learn to WD when Brawl n00bs will get a button assigned for it?

No thanks.
It would be cheap, but the dodge roll is already there.
Dodge roll sucks hardcore.
WOW!
Great job on the video!
I'll just keep my hopes up and wait for the game!!

How? Its so easy to use, and is very helpful.

the dodge roll is fundamental but effective, anyone can use it to get out of a tightspot, i do most of the time anyways, wavedashing just looks better
