TMNT for 600 points? Rubbish.

The Live version is better and cheaper!

Who knew Nintendo was such a cheeky monkey?

(edit: and all the turtles are Raphael! get the color scheme right next time, Konami!)
im defenetly getting starfox 64
From IGN about TMNT

Quote:
Buyers should beware though, as the games come at a bit of a price - particularly when it comes to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. For starters, the game is not the NES version of the arcade game, which just recently released on Xbox Live. This is the tough-as-nails single player game that came first on NES, and it's a tough little title for unsuspecting gamers.

Is TMNT 500 or 600 points? I can't see why some sites have it listed as 600. And yes, tnmt is not the arcade game, and it's one tough game. I got it as a kid, never beat it.
It is indeed 600 points not 500 like other NES games because i just checked.

IGN said this about the price raise

Quote:
As another oddity, the price for Turtles is listed at 600 points, rather than the usual 500 point mark for NES games. Is Nintendo trying its hand at a price raise, or did Konami need a little extra incentive to put the franchise on the system?

Starfox ftw!

They better not be pulling this sh*t on the VC. $5 is already too much to be spending on NES games, let alone $8 for Sega and SNES games and $10 for N64 games. It's not like these are online enabled.

i really loved sf64, but i don't know how much i'll be able to get by 4/22-23 when d/ p and the ninty ds headsets come out. i don't want to go out and short myself now because i'm already about $20 short already, but i'd be able to get sonic with it if i got the points for star fox, plus i'd be able to get kid icarus. always wanted to try that one out. or r-type. i always liked that one too. oh WTH, i might as well just get the damn points so i don't have to wait almost another month to spend my money, no matter how much i need more than one ds game and more reasons to take off the mac address filter on our router. hopefully i can get in another job before that time comes. after d/p i have pbr to get, then i can wait all summer for more good wii games.

Stop balling!!
I decided to do a little price check. 1 VC game V.S. 1 Live game V.S. 1 real game
VC games-The VC has a rate of 100 point per dollar. You can a game for $10 and under.
Live games-Microsoft points cost $1.25 per 100. Games range from 400 points to 1200. There are 2 free games though. Most games are 800 with a hand full of 1200 and then some others are 400.
Real games-I found most eBay Star Fox games to be 10 or 12 dollars. I even found one that was 30. The Teenage mutant ninja turtles game on eBay was ranging from 40 to 25 dollars!!

So as you can see. Nintendo is not coming even close to riping you off! They are giving you a good deal when they put these prices up!

I am now done with my rant......

Starfox 64 was horrible imo.

I think you mean Nintendo points are 100 = $1
And Microsoft points are 100 = $1.25

Not just 1 point per dollar. Ignorance is bliss

Cool...starfox. Gotta get it soon as I get more points. (the Rooster makes a mental note to buy more Wii points)

$2 (buy it now)

Go to a game store, you can easily find it under $5. If they jack up this game by a dollar, what's stopping them from putting a $10 tag on Castlevania III or charging $20 for FFIII? After all, those would be bargains. I'm saying keep it consistent, the industry already puts the screws to gamers enough as it is.

Microtransactions on the 360 are the absolute devil when it comes to the industry. You pay $90 already for a game like guitar hero II, then they'll release songs at an additional $4-X dollars. You pay $60 for Marvel Ultimate Alliance, now it's an additional $5 or whatever for some added characters? I don't like where the industry heading. It's possible that soon we'll be buying games that resemble TV shows more than movies. We'll be paying $10-20 for a level rather than a game.

Move'd to the VC area. Wink
Psssst. Sakura this is the VC REVIEWS section... X3
It was just a mistake. Sakura accidentaly moved it to the wrong section. It'll be fixed soon though. I hopes. Toungue
