Well, they just recently announced that the RE: Umbrella Chronicles for the Wii would NOT be a survival horror game, but rather a survival shooter game. That could be the first title to make use of the blaster peripheral. The game is played on rails (meaing you really don't control movement), focusing on you pointing and clicking/shooting your zombie targets.

I hope this is a sign that Nintendo is going to have more "shooters" in their library, because I know I've been dooped in the past by systems that release something cool like this "Zapper" and have little to know support for them. I wonder if the New RE game will be on rails or if you'll just have a set path, kind of like house of the dead.
I think they said that RE:UC was on rails. But you could look around freely.
Sounds like UC will play similar to the bunny shoutouts from Rayman. I agree with GFT about the gun though. I'd hate to buy it and use it only for one game.
I think that they would make all there shoter games work with that thing. And i also thought that it was the same as the nunchuk with an anolog stick and 2 buttons but just in the shape of a gun.......
They could secure a Wii-specific Time Crisis, House of the Dead or even make up a shooter-based Dino Crisis. There's lots of possibilities out there, to say nothing of new properties yet to be developed.
I love the resident evil series..well thats a lie because ive never owned one of the games, but i realy enjoy watching other people play it,the reason for this is this game freaks me out and i cant do the hole looking for items while trying to stay alive thing..i can do one or the other just not very good at both em, but since its on rails its alot of shootin, like house of the dead...which means this will be my first resi evil game to date :]

That customer is right i saw a pic of it and you put the wiimote on the long part of the gun and you put the nunchuck on the handle.
