i just rented Wii Plahy and found it really fun. then i started wondering which is better. i personally like Wii Sports cause it doesnt really cost you anything. If your gonna buy a Wii, then you might as well get the game free. But with Wii Play that comes with the Wii Remote. So if you were to buy a Wii Remote then you can cough up an extra 10 or so dolloars to get Wii Play and a Controller. Which game do you like the best?
I've never played either, but judging from the videos I see, Wii Play seems funner. I also hear Wii Sports can get kinda repetitive after a while
Wii sports was by far way more fun and enjoyable. Some of the minigames on wii play are just not as in depth as some on Wii Sports.....
* ch3mi0n is a pro at the billiards game on Wii Play.

I was playing it last night with a friend of mine, and I actually ran the entire table in one turn. I got 3 balls in on the break for 10 points and then a half a dozen good shots later I had a perfect score of 45, with not a single foul! Woot. Hahaha. Yes I am proud of myself, shut up! kekeke^^
I don't think it's even close imo. Wii Sports is far superior to Wii Play. I only like 2 games on Wii Play and didn't play it more than a week but I like almost all of the games from Wii Sports and still play it months later.
I've heard that Wii Play is actually not worth the extra ten dollars. I think Wii Sports is better though, since as you progress with your rankings, your opponents get tougher and tougher.
Wii Play sucks, apart from Tanks and Billiards. And those 2 games alone made it worth it since I got the remote with it.
Wii Sports takes the crown. Not even a competition.

Being a reviewer I always come in to games expecting a certain level of quality and Wii Play doesn't deliver. It's a tech demo. While Wii Sports really felt like a game, and a good one at that!
Definitely Wii Sports ftw. Wii play only has a few good games.

even with in the game it talks about different ways to use the wii mote. i'm not sure but i may get just because it comes with a wii mote.

Yeah, I would think if you are gonna buy a Wiimote, just go ahead and get wiiplay
yea i think thats what i'll do. Wii Play w/ its two decent games will be worth it.

Ya you see what I mean. But if your getting a Wii-Remote then ya might as well get this game.

Ya, the only real reson to get wii play is for the remote
The game is basicly 10 dollors without the wii-mote in there
Exactly. This game is bought so much because it comes with the Wiimote and in some places they are still pretty scarce to come by. Take away the Wiimote add on and it wouldn't sell half as much. Don't get me wrong, it's ok but not on the same level as Wii Sports.
each game would be a little over $1 a piece. if they were to sell it without the wii mote, it'd probably be something you can buy on the Shopping Channel. same goes for Wii Sports.
well this is how i feel about the two...

Wii Sports is a free game that comes with the system. It has great games, the games test your skills in using the controlers and challenge you each time you play them. The games are the same whether it be multiplayer or single player, the goal of the games stay the same. The games aren't hard to figure out and even my mother can play them.

Wii Play is a what would appear to be a $10 game that you buy a $40 wii mote with. The games on Play are fun and different and show the different ways of playing with the new controler, but multiplayer is so much better than single player. I played multiplayer first with a friend, it was fun and we enjoyed it. Then the next night played it by myself and i took it back the next day, it was horrible... ping pong, yeah... you see how long you can volley the freaking ball, not a scoring game, and pong... its timed! The games changed!
If I had paid only 10 or even 20 bucks for the game i might have kept it, I mean i only wanted the stinking game bump the $40 wii mote, i already have 2 full controlers. Why couldn't the states get the same treatment as the other countries and get it at the launch or the choice of with or without the wii mote?

I guess to just sum it up now... Wii Sports is good cause its a solid game at an amazing price (free), and Wii Play is a fun game for you and 1 friend, with a price tag that works only if you want another wii mote and don't mind tossing another 10 bucks on top of it for a tech demo

this is my opinion anyways...
interesting and nicely said.
Wii Sports of Course!!!!
