Wii Sports all the way!!
I still enjoy this game even though i've been playing it for a year now.
Wii Play is absolute rubbish if you ask me.
Iv'e only played on it like once, I only bought it for the free remote!!
Wii sports. It can entertain me for hours.

i picked wii sports, it gave me alot more replayability then wii play, i dont think i have played wii play for more then an hour or so.

The game would only be ten dolloars. I play from time to time when I'm bored. I mean it plays nicely for a ten dollar game.
I suppose, but to be honest, even if it was that cheap (minus the remote) I'd be disappointed if I bought it and then found out how rubbish it was. Even if it only was that cheap.
9 mini-games for $10. roughly over $1 per game. Think of it as a cell phone game. You don't plat it too much, but when you do it's fun.
I like both and currently still play both. Wii Sports is fun and interactive, although baseball could have been maybe a tad more interactive. Wii Play has fun games too...tanks and the shooting "duck hunt"- like game are fun, but get repetitive.

Hmmm... Wii Sports came free with the Wii, would never have bought it alone. Wii Play is bundled with a Wiimote, would never buy it on its own.
I suppose if forced to choose I'd say Wii Sports.
FYI, I know you guys keep saying that WiiSports was free with the system, but also remember that you can sell it on eBay for a nice premium. I got $50+ for an extra copy I had (someone had just given me).
WiiSports was great for many reasons. It is instantly recognizable by the general audience and casual gamers love to play it. It was not the free throwaway that many claimed it would be, and has become immensely popular in its own right. I would say that this is by far the better of the two.
WiiSports showed what motion control on the Wii was like. WiiPlay showed pointing/aiming. Aiming was less fun than swinging, and much less memorable.
i would easily pay $50 for wii sports on its own, i wouldnt even pay $20 for wii play alone, although i do enjoy billiards
