I’ve had some trouble with my gamecube games and the data saved on my memory card. The other day I was playing FIFA 06 on my wii I started a new season (in which you are the manager of a team and you have to complete certain objectives) I saved the game, and turned off my wii. After a while I came back and tried to load the file but it said it was corrupted. then I went to the memory card data management but it said ALL the information got corrupted! I was shocked I had many games saved on my memory card and no backup. I formatted my mc and tried with FIFA 06 again. But it didn’t do any good. The file was corrupted again. So I wondered if this happened with all my games. But the problem didn't appear with SSBM or TLoZ windwaker or Phantasy Star Online or MP or Paper Mario.... The only game I had trouble with was PKMN Colosseum. With this game I made a new file and to make sure I had no problem with it I used the reset button to start over, but the data was corrupted. This also happened the second and third time. But it didn’t happen if I turned the power instead of using the reset button. The information would be okay in that case.
I am wondering why this happens cause some games do well and other don’t.
Do any of you guys have an idea for the reason of this problem?
Has anyone had the same problem with the information in their memory cards?
This also happened to my DBZ game, only on the ps2. The only answer I could get is that I used to many cheats on GTA. :s But, I am not sure. I can't save either. D:
That's very odd. You may want to contact Nintendo with an issue like that. Want kind of Memory card is it?
FIFA 06 has notorious mc problems. Happened to me as well
Some games can just be like that.......
Mabye its the meroy card.....

Well, I did send an email to Nintendo but they are not very helpful. They told me to call to a phone number so I could speak directly to someone who could solve the problem. But that would be long distance and I’m not sure they would want to help. there is no Nintendo here in Mexico so I have no place where I can go to.
I’m not sure the problem is with the mc because it works perfectly with many games. but with fifa 06 and pkmn colosseum it just wont.... I hope its not my wii but Nintendo wont give me a direct answer...
any of you guys having trouble with pkmn colosseum? I have trouble after RESETING the game, that’s when the data corruption occurs. Hope someone out there knows how to work this out.

I've never had problems with Pokemon Colosseum before but I don't have Fifa. What memory card are you using? It is Nintendo's or a third-party one?

Yeah, try another memory card and see if you get the same error.
I think I rented FIFA 06 and never ran into any problems with the saving or the MC. The only time I've had memory card problems was way back when I had Madden 2003 and had accidentally turned the power off in the middle of it saving.
It sounds like the problem is the game, not the memory card.
