I'm sure you all remember that much talked about bug in Twilight Princess that would prevent you from progressing past the sky cannon part.

If you were to save in the room where you find the sky cannon, before the NPC leaves the room then that NPC would become invisible. What you're supposed to do is talk to him and he leaves, that's all. But if you just happened to be unlucky enough to save while he was still there he'd be invisible and you wouldn't be able to warp out the cannon or become a wolf; and killing yourself would just respawn you back in the same room with NPC still invisible. I'd heard of a way around it where you walk to where he would be standing and the press A to talk to him but it's never really been confirmed.

If you're one of those unfortunate people then I've got good news (assuming that after encountering the glitch that you havn't started a new file out of frustration). Nintendo is now offering to replace all those buggy copies of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. All you need to do is write a letter (not an e-mail) to Nintendo explaining what happened and how you encountered it, then mail the letter along with the disc (no case). Nintendo will then send you a new bug free disc.

Once you get your disc just put it into your Wii and continue from where you left off. Shad (the NPC) will be there and you'll be able to progress through the game normally. Nintendo may have been a little late to this issue but better late than never I guess. Here's the Nintendo of America address where you need to send all your defective discs to:

NINTENDO OF AMERICA
ATTN: CS ADMIN
4900 150TH AVE NE
REDMOND WA 98052-5171

I'm not sure if Nintendo Europe, Australia, or Canada are offering the same service but get in touch with your regional Nintendo HQ to find out.

Thats cool that they have decided to replace buggy discs. I know that some companys would just make you buy a new disc!
Good find kindrik!

PS--Congrats on becoming a Gerudo!
I'll call nintendo just to get a free new game.
This is good of Nintendo to do this. They have heard the complaints and have taken action to rectify the situation. Good on ya Nintendo.
Lol, I saw that on youtube, i'm lucky, but he wasn't!
good for Nintendo Big Grin lucky for me, I didn't get caught in the glitch
This is really good news beacause this happened to my friend. I told him that he could get a new one and he's really happy now. Big Grin
i posted this like months ago, i'm surprised action is now being taken, but better late then never.
I know, it's been a long time coming.
lucky i get off track with my game, so if i get trapped i n the glitch i have a way out.
Are you sure this is a true article? I followed every source and none of them led straight to Nintendo. Nor does Nintendo.com say anything about this...

Maybe some dooshbag is just trying to get you all to mail your games to nintendo as a joke lol.
Well QJ has been known as not being all that reliable in the past. I'll look into it.
Well the paper trail leads back to the official Nintendo forums. And I'm sure that if it wasn't true a mod or admin would've cleared it up.
And I also found this at Aeropause.

So I gave Nintendo a call at the provided number and reached a rep in less than a minute, despite a recording telling me it could take a while. I explained the issue and he seemed surprised I was aware of the new replacement policy, and wanted to know how I found out. I told him, and he commented, "yeah, people like to talk about stuff." Not sure how to take that, but he never became impolite. He described how people are encountering the problem and I described how I encountered it, which was a little different. He explained the exchange process to me as follows:

(etc.)

So do the newer printed TP games not have this glitch?
I think the glitch was more of a programer error.
So they probly just whent into the game code and fixed it with a little programing! Good as new!
I guess I haven't got to this part yet. I'll check the Zelda area in the forums to make it through unscathed. Any word whether this was launch discs only or up to a certain date?
I'm not sure. Nintendo hasn't made any statements regarding this glitch and this is the first action they've taken towards it since it was found.
